Angie's Alteration

I took a men's suit for alteration to have the jacket brought in and tapered and to have the waist let out a bit. The lady there (Angie?), who speaks poor English, examined the suit, had me try it on, and said she could make the alterations. However I did not see her write anything down nor mark anything on the suit where she would tailor it as is customarily done. She said it would take her a week to do. About a day or so before then however she called asking again what did I want done on the waist of the pants. I told her again to take the waist "out" but, again due to her poor English, she thought I said take them "off" or to bring the waist in. So when I come in, naturally the pants don't fit. I asked her to get the order done properly but she hesitated because she had other orders to do. This displayed a lack of customer service so I immediately just took my items to a more reputable tailor for alteration. I later discover that not only did she not fix the pants properly but that, with the exception of making the jacket sleeves too short, she did not even taper the jacket! So I had to pay more money to another tailor to have the work done correctly. Needless to say this situation was horrible and very frustrating. Unless you just need something easy done like a button sewn on, I strongly recommend that you do NOT come to Angie's Alterations (especially if you do not speak Spanish) and stick to a more reputable tailor who is familiar with how alterations should be professionally done.
