Just Ok

These guys are ok but they are a little like the 1-800 flowers of techs. You never know who is coming out. They just sub out the job and get a percentage of the fee....a finders fee basically....which makes it more expensive. I'd probably go with a local place next time where I know who will be at my door and can give me a better deal.

poor customer service

After calling several local computer repair shops, Techs in a Sec was the least expensive option. I was going to use the remote service for an optimatization and after playing phone tag several times, I was scheduled to have an appointment today at 1000. The tech calls me up and leaves a voice mail stating that he forgot he had prior obligations and would need to reschedule. After informing him that I wanted the set appointment time, he rudely stated that these things happen. I am just going to go to a local computer repair shop. Seriously whats the point in scheduling an appointment when you can't meet it. Very unprofessional and poor customer service!!!!

Ok so does anyone else notice that all of the so called "positive 5 star" reviews on this company have been made by people with only one review? HMM! Its almost like they went and gave them self reviews to make people feel confident..

Company was not anywhere near my location (blacksburg) and would not deal with my computer online because it was too slow. UGH!! Do not use this compannyy!

Impressive Service

Impressive Service - I was impressed at the politeness and knowledge these people project. From beginning to finish I was comfortable and knew what was going on. I didnt have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment like the geekssquad wanted me to wait. I will definitely call again if my PC has problems.

No set policy.

Called to make appointment, I described problem, they stated it sounded like hard drive, and they charged about $80.00 an hour for the house call, plus the cost of the Hard Drive. I asked if It was not a hard drive problem would I be charged for it. They stated No. Also if I cancelled there well be a fee. The appointment was set between 9AM to 12 Noon.



The next morning about 9AM the housecall tech called and stated he would be at my home about 9:45 AM, he was looking for a hard drive. About 10:45 AM he called back stating he had difficulty finding a hard drive, and would not be at my place until 11:50AM. His location is about 25 minutes from my house. His phone was breaking badly and I just said hurry.



At about 11:AM the company called my house and stated I was refusing the purchase of the hard drive, and I stated no because I was told by Bob, that there would be not charge if it was not a hardware problem. The person on the phone stated I would be charged for the Hard drive even though no one has looked at the computer and have not determind the problem. I told him what Bob stated, he doubted me, and stated if I wanted to cancel? I question the fee since what I was told was different from what they were now saying. The person on the phone would not listen to me and rather then argue I agreed to a $45.00 cancellation fee.

After using their service I was very happy with the results. I needed help and they did the job. My laptop was having tons of popups that wouldn't let me work. Now my computer is working the way it should be.

After having bad experiences with other Tech business in my area I called these guys. After speaking to a delightful fellow on the phone who was able to get to the heart of my problem he sent a young man in my area over in the evening and he was done in an hour. The prices are unbelievably reasonable and the techs seem to be motivated to get the job done in the shortest amount of time therefore not charging me for wasted time that other less reputable business would.



Would I recommend them?, yes...too my mother or anyone who needed reliable and honest computer help.

Not very good

Apparently, this company is out-of-state and sub-contracts to people in the area who respond to their "Help Wanted" ads. You call their number (in New York?) and they contact their local independent guy in your area.



Hired Techs in a Sec to get a new computer (Windows 7) up and running and transfer e-mail, documents, etc. from old XP to new computer. The tech was a college student, young and not very professional or knowledgeable. Nice enough, but over his head and did not do a good job. Kept looking at his watch (probably had a class that afternoon). Was going to leave thinking he was finished until I asked to confirm the e-mail was up and running. It was not. He spent 30 minutes talking to RoadRunner tech to get that completed. Also, the picture files, i-tunes and everything else is in a bundle under my documents waiting for us to straighten it out.

NEVER AGAIN. I'll wait on the Geek Squad. At least they have a location where you can find them if there is a problem.

High quality service but reasonable price. I called 3 places before asking them to come to my place to fix my computer. They seemed to have the best rate. I had a pleasant experience from beginning to end and best of all my computer is fixed.

Network is back up and working

I have called this company several times for a several locations I manage. So far it has been a good experience. I simply call up and they show up. Cant beat that. We have basic issues but so far they have fixed them every time. They have made my job much easier. In the past I had to find companies in each area to fix the problem.

My dell was getting very slow from spyware. I called this company. I was sent a nice guy named Steve who fixed my computer and rid it of the spyware. Overall I was very happy with the service. I got what I wanted at a reasonable price.

RIP OFF REPORT!

I called techs in a sec to come over and network my computer. Tech came over and stayed for 4 hours, he then procedes to tell me that i need a router to network the computer. I ended up getting a router and networking it myself! They also charged my card for two hours of labor=$160.00! I am currently disputing the charge i dont think that i should have to pay for a service that i did not recieve.

Very fast service. Impressed.

I was impressed with the way this company handled my requests. I called and was quickly speaking with someone who was able to determine what my problems were and how long it would take to fix. I was able to schedule someone to come out when I was available and not around someone else schedule. Very impressive. I didnt sit home all day like I did with the cable company who screwed up my computer in the first place with their extra software. A tech arrived and looked at the computer then was able to determine thatb the cable companies software was conflicting with other software on my computer. The man was able to fix it and away he went. This is a company I will call again if I ever have a problem.

I was so impressed with the way this company handled setting up my appointment right down to the young man they sent to repair my computer.

I called on a Wednesday and they had a tech out to me the next day; a nice young man who knew what he was doing.
