One recent Thursday evening, my son and I made 2 trips to your restaurant. Our First and Our Last!!!. I live near your place and we thought we would try it out. We arrived something after 7PM and I was surprised at the small crowd. 6 at the bar and only 1 table. We made table 2. Later a 3rd table arrived about an hour later. We both had the $5 Classic Burger special 1 with FF and 1 with chips, and soft drinks. Because we ordered soft drinks and the special, I felt we were pre judged by the waiter to be cheapskates and wouldn't be very big tippers. Quite the opposite. Servers work very hard and when they do the job right I tip 25% or more. I have been in the food service industry for many years and currently a food service consultant. I understand how an under performing food server can be. His mistakes were simple. Remember there were 2 of us at the table. The server had to ask which one of us had the chips. He also forgot the ranch and ketchup I asked for. When the kitchen added mayo to my son's burger after requesting specifically no mayo, he commented that he told them "No Damn Mayonnaise". He returned the plate and got the error corrected without the first apology. He obviously doesn't pay attention to his customers. Also my son (when he went to the restroom) noticed the server was eating something from a soup bowl that was sitting in the plate pick up window. This young man would not work for me and has no place in this establishment either.
The food was barely mediocre. The "fresh cut" chips were not hot at all, nor my son's fries. The "cooked to order" (Medium) burgers were dry and not nearly hot enough to have just came off of the grill. Neither of our burgers seemed fresh and if you call this stuff "certified Angus" they are certainly getting ripped off. This business might be better if you had someone in the restaurant paying attention. I saw no one who appeared to be in charge. I hope the next tenant knows how to operate a restaurant. BTW, I sent a similar email to the comment section with no response. I do not want anything free. I just want someone to acknowledge.
