The Fairways

These apartments are horrible, do not move in here! The staff is not helpful and will give you the run around if you have any problems with your apartment. This year alone, my apartment was flooded four times! I was not offered any compensation for the inconvenience of having loud fans blast mold through my apartment for three days times four incidents. I did not ask much, merely that the bubbling beneath the walls and the huge stains on my ceiling be repaired. The office gave me the run around about how they didn't know when the manager worked and they would have her e-mail me when she gets the chance. Five months later my ceiling is still covered in unsightly stains and there is mold all over the bathroom ceiling, another unresolved issue. They force garbage valet on the residents which brings rats and crows to our doors and believe me there are many. Furthermore, they are planning to charge us extra for this "service." In the past year my apartment has been unlivable a total of 21 days for the four floodings with three days of fans for drying each, a week of re-piping, and a couple days for painting the exterior of the building, where the whole building was saran-wrapped not allowing one to enter or leave the apartment. They have not offered any compensation for continuing to disrupt our lives. Instead, they continue to raise the rent at every lease renewal. Besides these things, parking is difficult to find, expect to walk 1/2 a block if you come home late at night. We will not live here for much longer, as soon as our lease is up we are leaving. I have lived here and enjoyed living here for a number of years until the new management took over. Since then I simply do not know what to expect, a new charge on my door for something mysterious, a raise in rent, a notice that my apartment will be out of commission on the week I have an important job interview. Living here now gives me anxiety and would not recommend these apartments to anyone.
