Mohs Surgery
Mohs surgery is an innovative technique to remove certain skin cancers. The process involves the most minimal tissue removal of any other form of skin cancer treatment and has a success rate of 95%. Mohs surgeons have additional training that allows them to act as the pathologist and surgeon.
Reconstructive Surgery
For these cancers, common treatment methods may not be successful because they rely on the human eye to determine the extent of the cancer. These methods may remove too little cancer which can cause it to recur, spread, and require additional surgery. It can also result in the removal of too much healthy tissue and may cause unnecessary scarring. American College of Mohs Surgeons are fellowship-trained surgeons who have extensive training in skin cancer removal and reconstructive surgery. Acne Treatment

Lesions

Microdermabrasion
Microneedling is minimally invasive and does not produce significant side-effects or require downtime for recovery. It is appropriate for all skin types and can be used anywhere on the body. During this procedure, tiny needles puncture the skin, a process that spurs natural healing. When the skin heals, it may appear smoother and more youthful looking. Microneedling is also called collagen induction therapy because during the healing process collagen is remodeled by the body within the injured skin. Patients often choose microneedling because it is “friendlier” than alternatives such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and various laser-assisted techniques. These other procedures can be harsh, require longer recovery periods, or cause hyperpigmentation in patients with certain skin types.
Psoriasis
There currently no cure for psoriasis, but there are multiple psoriasis treatments available that can usually lead to a clearing of symptoms. The goal of treatment is to stop the skin cell overgrowth that leads to plaque formation and inflammation. Treatment options include topical medications, oral medications, lasers, and a new class of medications called “biologics”.
