African Glamour Braids

I was charged $80 after i was told $30 for my daughter who is 8 braids. It was just braided into a Mohawk no design no bead just plain. When I confronted her about it( which was the next day cause I didn't realize she charge me that till later that night cause she ran my card as debit(pin number) and it didn't show the price so I thought it was ran for $30. Well I confronted her the next morning and she just argue with me saying she didn't say that and the price was in a book blah blah blah. I told her If I knew it was that much its no way in heck I would had paid $80 for a 8 yr old and mind you I have her a $10 tip and I told her that she got smart and said well I didn't ask for it. So I will never ever go there again and will not refer no body. Also as the other reviews she was yelling at her kids on the phone loudly half the time we where there, very unprofessional !! Stay away!!!

I had my hair done by African Glamour and i have to say i was very satisfied with the out come of the braids. Yes they are loud but they are also very friendly. I went to get my hair braided and it looks great but the loudness didn't bother me i just assume that is there culture and i accept that. At least the braids were perfect and they were fast, this is coming from someone that has been getting braids for ages and i most say most african braid shop are pretty loud :) so it just comes with the braids. If you are looking for a quite one i doubt if you will fine it!

THIS PLACE IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I HATE I USED MY CREDIT CARD THERE! I DO NOT TRUST THEM AT ALL! THEY CURSE WHILE YOU ARE BEING SERVICED. THEY TALK LOUDLY WHILE YOU ARE IN THE CHAIR. THEY HAVE THEIR CHILD RUNNING AROUND GETTING INTO EVERTHING! THEY GET 3 PEOPLE ON YOUR HEAD AND STILL TAKE ALL DAY LONG! THEY'RE WORK IS VERY SHOTY AND WHEN YOU GO BACK TO COMPLAIN OF THE WORK AND ASK THEM TO FIX IT, THEY MAKE YOU WAIT HAVE A BAD ATTITUDE AND JUST NASTY TOWARDS YOU... MY BRAIDS IN THE BACK OF MY HEAD FELL OUT THE NEXT DAY AND WHEN I WENT BACK THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY NEVER HAD THAT HAPPEN,,, THAT I TOOK THEM OUT! AFTER A FEW WEEKS I GOT SO TIRED OF BRAIDS FALLING OUT I JUST TOOK MY HAIR DOWN.... WHEN I TOOK IT DOWN,,,I SEEN THAT MY HAIR WAS SHORT AND DAMAGED IN PLACES WHERE THEY HADCUT TO CLEAN..... WHAN I CALLED BACK AND ASKED THEM FOR A 50 PERCENT REFUND,,,THEY SAID NO AND WAS LOUD AND VERY IGNORANT!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE.... IT HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE

I was told to be at my appointmen at 2pm but I get their early around 1:35pm. When I arrived one of the stylist was skyping with a relative on a laptop and talked loudly on a cellphone about 80% of my visit. Not professional at all. Once I got seated in the chair a stylist started braid the back of my hair and then suddenly stated that she was hungry and left and went and got lunch and then came back and ate the lunch all while I set in the chair with about a fourth of my hair braided. After five hours the results were nice but I have pieces sticking up that I have to gel down. If you want a professional yet classy environment do not go here!!!!!!
