I was charged $700.00 for a "flipper", a device used purely for aesthetic purposes, and cannot be used for eating. The device did not fit when it was first placed, and I needed adhesive to keep it in. After a few months, one of the teeth came out. I called the office, asked if I should bring it in or take it elsewhere. I was told to bring it in. I went in, left the "flipper" and returned in the afternoon. After I picked the flipper up, I stopped at the reception area and was told there was NO CHARGE. A few days later I received a statement, saying I owed an additional $399.00 for putting the lost tooth back into the "flipper". I ignored this statement as I was told there would be no charge. Eventually, I was turned over to collections, and requested a court hearing. The office manager perjured herself by stating that "they don't even do repairs there". This is a very poor business practice, and this is a small town. Word of mouth means more than all the signs on the sides of the local buses. The office manager also said the $350.00 was the lab bill, which I have yet to see. Also, I was charged $49.00 for a "professional fee". I asked in court what that fee was for, since I didn't see the dentist for the repair. I was ignored-by the judge and the office manager. I feel if you want a good, honest, reputable dentist, DO NOT go to Millard Dental; and if you do, be sure to get everything in writing, as you'll need it in court.
