Acne Treatment
Eczema
Eczema or dermatitis are the same and often used interchangeably. They are broad terms. At a basic level it means inflammation of the skin. The skin becomes red, swollen and may be cracked, weeping and can be scaly.
Fungus
Nail fungus is a common condition that affects both adults and children. It can be progressive and worsen with time or spread to other nails if not treated. In certain severe cases, or over time, as the condition worsens, the fungal infection will penetrate deeper, causing your nails to discolor, while growing thicker and beginning to crumble along the edges.
Lesions
Actinic Keratoses are precancerous skin lesions that may progress into squamous cell carcinomas. They usually occur in fair skinned individuals after years of sun exposure. Typical actinic keratoses are sandpaper-like rough, red spots that are more easily felt than seen. Most often, they are found on skin that receives the most sun: the forehead, ears, neck, arms, hands, lower lip and bald scalps.
Chemical Peels
There are two main melasma treatments, which include a topical melasma treatment and laser treatments. Topical ointments and creams may be possible melasma treatments. These creams contain agents that can help smooth out your skin tone and reduce the discoloration associated with chloasma. Our dermatologist may recommend chemical peels or topical steroid creams as melasma treatments, as well. These peels and creams can help reduce the damage done to skin cells by chloasma and restore your natural even skin tone.
