I have been dining at Tropical Acres for over 25 years and have never had a bad experience. It is a wonderful family owned restaurant that not only cares for it's customers but also it's dedicated staff. If you want to have a great night out with excellent food stop by and enjoy the event.



They now have a Happy Hour with excellent pricing and wonderful, fresh made appetizers that you can make a meal of.

I have watched the generations of family grow and prosper. This is what makes this restaurant different from many others. Go and experience it for yourself.

Went to Acres for the first time to celebrate my sons 21st Birthday. I can not say enough about this restaurant. The food was awesome & the service was excellent. Jackson & Tina went above & beyond our requests. I had to talk to the manager, Michael, to tell the cooks in the back if they can put a rush on our dinner order as we had a limo that would be coming by to pick up my son & friends & he took care of that right away. From the food to the service definitely above expectations. Thank you so much!!!!

I hosted my mothers 50th birthday banquet here. We reserved a private banquet room for 25ppl. Everything was set up beautifully. My mom and her guests were very surprised and happy about the establishment. The food was awesome. The waitstaff were effective and efficient and provided prompt service. Although the overall cost was a $1000 with food and drinks, it was money well spent. This is a family run establishment done right!

After a long week on a cruise ship. The thing we wanted most was a nice dinner and Tropical Acres was a great choice. We did a quick internet search for steak restaurants in the area and based on the reviews we decided to give it a try. Our servers Tami & Joe were both pleasant, knowledgeable and prompt. Our dinners came perfect and piping hot. We also ordered dessert to go as we were stuffed and couldn't eat another bite at the table. The gentleman that prepared our steaks definitely knows what he's doing as we both enjoyed our filet and cowboy steaks, crab cakes & lobster tails. We will be back every time we visit Ft Lauderdale.

This place has a comfortable atmosphere with an old fashioned vibe. This is a classic steak house with a straightforward menu: surf and turf; salads; creamed spinach. The food was great--.I had steak au poivre; others in my party had frog legs, prime rib and lobster--everyone in our party was happy with the food. We went on a very busy Saturday evening and still got great service without an endless wait.

Tropical Acres has been around a long time while most places have come and gone. The food is always excellent and prepared to your liking. The owners and staff cannot be more gracious.

I don't look for a special occasion to dine there, just when I want a great meal and outstanding service. Ginette and Tina are always there to assist with your meal and service. The special cut filet is my favorite steak and is always prepared as ordered. My thanks to the entire staff for maintaining such a fine dining establishment. I have enjoyed the food and service for over 24 years.

This was the fourth time I have been to this restaurant and I am more impressed each time. Although it was packed for a Saturday night dinner, we only waited in the bar for about 15 minutes (told it would be 35-40). The service was right on point and was only exceeded by the quality and flavor of the meals. It is no wonder they are still doing a tremendous business and have been doing it since 1949....they are awesome.

Absolutely love this place. The food is great, the service is great, the value is great. One of my "go to" places for an occassion. My favorite is the rack of lamb. Love the place.

Tonight we had dinner at Tropical Acres. The service and food 5 star. It was my parents 55th wedding anniversary and they loved every minute! The piano music was nice! A great find!

I have visited Tropical Acres for the past 30 years and never had to make a complaint about the meal, with a very pleasant atmosphere, we celebrated birthdays and anniversaries, where our people came from as far away as West Palm Beach, and enjoyed the evening and the meal, so much they did not mind the long drive.

A very nice atmosphere for the newly dating couple too! The piano player was an added bonus.

What's not to love? The personality of Tropical Acres transcends time and trends. This staple of great dining on Griffin Rd. has been around since 1949!! That should say it all. We have been dining at Tropical Acres for around 8 years now. Whenever we want to spend quality time with friends or family we know that Tropical Acres always satisfies.

If you are looking for a high brow place to dine with a fancy menu go elsewhere. If you want great food, great service and old time charm of Florida dining then this is your dining destination. The Steaks are out of this world. I get the Special Cut Filet a 10 oz juicy and tender and cooked just right. Melts in your mouth. Get this with hash browns and a salad. You won’t beat the price either. Don't miss the onion bread. They try to keep these limited but make sure to ask for some if they don’t give you enough in the basket. They are great. Desert will not disappoint, my favorite is the carrot cake. Before you dine take few minutes to grab a big drink in the bar. You will feel like you have gone back to the 50's. Can't wait to go back.

I went here to celebrate my grandmother's 90th birthday. The servers were extremely friendly and attentive and overall we had a good experience.

Great food and service. Arrived late for our reservation (called to let them know) because of hotel shuttle. They held our table and our party of five was quickly seated. Service was prompt, everything from appetizers to desert was well prepared. Steaks "melted in your mouth." I would highly recommend a visit. It certainly will be on our "must do list" next time we are in Fort Lauderdale. To the management and staff-thanks for a great dining experience.

Spent a weekend in Ft. Lauderdale and went to Tropical Acres at the recommendation of our hotel. Classic steak and seafood house with excellent service, sublime steaks and fish (really, where can you get escargots as an appetizer anymore?), attention to detail. Not cheap, but certainly in line with other high-end steakhouses. Oh, I should mention that we were there on a Thursday evening and the place was packed...and there were two retirement parties going on in private rooms, too! There was a piano player, who played softly in the background. No, it's not a young crowd (at least it wasn't when we were there), it may not be "hip" or "trendy", but it was well worth the money and we'll definitely go back.

Tropical Acres has become our go-to restaurant for special occasions in South Florida. The decor, the menu, the wait staff and the owner make sure every detail is perfect. We dined there to celebrate our parent's 49th Wedding Anniversary. We were treated to complimentary valet parking and promptly greeted when we arrived. We were seated in the back of the restaurant where they accommodate larger groups. It is near the piano player which is a plus! From drinks to appetizers to dinner to dessert, our experience was excellent! We will definitely be back.

Have been going to Tropical Acres since I was a kid with my parents (many years ago) - reliable good food, nice older atmosphere. Introduced my spouse to the restaurant and we now enjoy our weekly Friday night dinners at the bar with Tommy - a great bartender who goes out of his way to make everyone's evening pleasant.

I was looking for a steakhouse menu with reasonable variety that was also a good value near Hallandale. This proved to be the perfect choice, as their signature NY strip steak and Rack of Lamb were superb. We had French onion soup as an appetizer, and a Caesar salad to go with the dinner. The service was excellent and our waiter, Don, could not have been ore courteous or accommodating. I would highly recommend this place, make a reservation for choice seating.

We had a wedding rehearsal party . About 56 friends and family. Everyone was pleasantly surprised how well everything went. The staff was very professional and efficient. The food was outstanding. We had prime rib, chicken, and fish. Everyone raved about their meal of choice. Salad, dessert and coffee where all incusive. "Great cheese cake". This restaurant is " awesome". And the price is well within reason. Our next party will surely be at "The Tropical Acres".
