I took my 2004 Chevy Colorado to them in January 2007 because I was hearing 'banging' noise from the front right wheel. They checked it and told me that my bug deflector was loose and charged me $25 to tighten a screw. BTW, they found no problem with the wheel or brakes. About 3 weeks later, the noise got louder so I took it back. Again, they told me it was my bug deflector. They removed it and I insisted that a mechanic ride with me (with the bug deflector in the back). Finally, now they heard the noise. The mechanic found that the brake pad backing was loose and banging against the caliper. He said I had plenty of pad left and would be alright for awhile. Less than 2 weeks later I took it back because the noise was annoying. They told me that the pads were worn to the metal and the rotors were badly grooved and needed to be replaced. I was furious!!!! How could they miss this when I took it in twice in 5 weeks before now. The extra driving destroyed the rotors and cost me an additional $380. They could not explain how they did not find the problem before. Needless to say, my truck has not been within 3 miles of the place since then!!!!! The service advisor told me that I would receive a survey in the mail. I eagerly awaited this survey to let them know how lousy they did. Surprisingly, it never came. LOL I now take my truck to another Chevy dealer for service and they do a GREAT JOB!!!!!!!
