Pender County Animal Shelter

We Fostered a sick dog from Pender County Humane Society. Some of the staff who we met at the beginning were nice . However Mari , the Director , has no people skills at all .In fact she was rude and demanding whenever she was talking to us in the phone. Every month she or her assistant called to ask us what are our intentions with the dog which put us under pressure because we were feeling sorry for the sick dog. So in one of Mari' s pushy calls we agreed on the adoption.
Unfortunately the dog developed a bad habits such as peeing in the house . Of course that was not what Mari wanted to hear that she hanged up without even say goodbye. Great Manners.
When we took the dog back the treatment was awful almost we felt we were kicked out of the shelter.
Knowing that during the four five months we had the dog we took good care of her. We gave her all kind of vitamins to support her system . Mari, ,her Assistant Sheena and some of her staff need to learn that they need to be genuine and descent in dealing with people in order to assist the animals to find homes.
