Fuzzbutts

We got our cat here. She was so depressed she wouldn't move. She does still have anxiety but she is the love of our lives. Be forewarned it is very depressing here. Heartbreaking. But understand when the staff r grumpy. They see some awful things. But know that any animal u choose to adopt has a fee so they con continue to operate. Don't complain about the selection. It's a last resort. It's not a breeder it's not a pet store. It's a last stop end of the road for these poor guys. Give then a break. They only want to save animals.

Just so some of the people here know, it is called a shelter for a reason. These animals were given up or potentially found with no home. They aren't going to be pure bred or the healthiest dogs. Some may be nervous and not very playful because they might have been mistreated or strays. That is something you should know going in to it and it isn't the shelters fault. Many adoption pets have more health problems than one you would buy from a breeder. And any person who would just go back to the shelter to 'give back' and ask for a refund on a living creature just because they have some health issues. If you were a person who cared for animals you would take in to consideration all things and maybe care for the sick animal and care about it. I'm apauleld anyone would even think to ask for a refund on an animal like they were some object.

i know what all these people are complaining about. i go here 2 times a week every week and same old dogs every single time..when i complained that all they have are ''pit-bulls'', they tell me ''well the other dogs go quick, you have to be here when they come in!'' if you are looking for a ''pit-bull'' this is the place. they probably get extra money to keep pit-bulls..

mixed group of staff

People up at the front when entering were a bit 'short'. I suppose some would consider it rude. Quick and direct, "have you been here before? may I see your license? okay, step in the sanitizer with your shoes before entering the adopt cat area". BUT.........once I went in the area where the adoptable cats were 2 volunteers were in there letting cats out of crates to handle them, play, and let them socialize with people. They answered any questions and a guy who worked there gave me a shelter business card and said, "you can check on line to see photo and info on new cats that may come in". I found them in that room helpful and kind. I did not get a cat because I am looking for just the right kitten to be part of our family. I had adopted a kitten from here 9 yr ago, and she is no longer with us. She was the best for all those 9 yrs. ANYWAY, I assume the people up front see and hear all kinds of stories from people and it's just routine to them when people come in. I just wish it could be a little brighter like the new building appears on the outside.
