Kroger

I have been shopping at the Alcoa Kroger for 7 years, but after several bad experiences over the past couple of years, I'm taking my business elsewhere. On at least a dozen occasions, I have gotten home to find that the meat I purchased is rancid, expired, or otherwise just rotten. Even meat that is within the "consume by" date is ROTTEN. I opened a pack today that expires on 11/13 and the smell made me sick. They are NOT keeping their meats at the proper temperatures and/or they are storing it improperly before it goes on the shelf. I will be taking my business to Publix. The Meat Department needs to be trained on proper meat storage!!

The 730 Watkins Rd Maryville, TN 37801 is going out of business. I was in the store yesterday 11/09/15 around 2:30 pm buy stuff that was half off. I was in the meat department and a women near me said she was told the package meat would be half off tomorrow. I then call the meat department at 6:26 pm and was told by a man in the department that the meat would be half off tomorrow. I also asked what time, he told me to be there at 6am, which I did. So there was around 10 people there when the store opened and more right after, with in a few minutes the meat department was empty. So every one went to checked out, we were told that we had to wait an hour till the manager om duty (Kim Davis) came in. which we did, she said it the meat is not half (as of now). She made a few calls and said the project manger said no meat would be going on sale. Now we had been waiting an hour and half. Then a cashier started being rude and saying no one said it was on sale, which was a lie. There were a lot of people who were told the same thing I was yesterday. Then everyone was getting very up set she called again the same guy he said no again and she was told to tell us they would call the POLICE rather then give us the meat half off. I shop at Krogers a few times a week spending hundreds a month, but after this experience, I will be take my business else where. As well as my family and friends. I have never been treated so disrespectfully by a store manager and other employees. I guess Krogers has for gotten customer services!
