Equine Vet
Dr. Carlos Alosilla, Jr. grew up on the means streets of Jacksonville. Dr. Alosilla graduated from Jacksonville University and that is when his beloved dog needed spinal surgery and extensive care. After this, he was hooked on caring for animals. Dr. Alosilla worked as a technician locally and then rode with an equine vet. He landed in a masters program at UF while applying to veterinary school with his specialty being ruminants and vitamin A. He attended Western University and graduated in 2011. Upon returning to the east coast, he worked with a classmate in Long Island, NY. He completed his internship in Orlando working in a practice that did large and small animal work. He moved to Jacksonville in 2014 working at the beaches, the west side, and Southside. Dr. Alosilla joined NVH in August of 2021. He hopes to become certified in acupuncture in the near future. In his free time he also enjoys free diving in the spring. He is also a competitive axe thrower currently in 3 leagues and starting to compete in traveling tournaments.
