all i can say is "WOW"

i have to say i am one of those people who is truley terrified of the "dentist", due to early childhood memories, but i have say i was blown away.

the dr and staff made the world's biggest chicken feel at ease. i was so impressed by the quality of care i was given. i haven't been into a dentist office in some time and because of that i had a tooth that needed some TLC. i never remember a dr going out of their way to make me feel so comfortable. (they have very relaxing chairs with messagers! and flat screens above so u can watch tv...it really does help)

the treatment was very affordable ( i did call around and price other offices)

Dr. Recknagel became my dentist after answering a call in the middle of the night from my wife who was having excruciating tooth pain. My wife and I were at a different dentist at the time, but switched to Dr. Recknagel after our first visit with him. We have found him to be extremely thorough in his examinations, intelligent in his diagnosis, and just an all-around nice guy. After reading the other two reviews posted at the time of writing this, I was disappointed to find that others in Yukon hadn't had the experience that I have with Dr. Recknagel, and I felt the need to write a review that reflects the other side of the coin with his office. My family and I will be patients of dentistry by design for a long time to come.

My experience with Dr. Recknagel was less than what I had expected. He and his staff are not truly upfront about the cost nor were they honest about what the insurance company was or was not going to pay for. I felt like they knew what my portion of the cost was going to be but mislead me just to get my business. In the end I would never refer anyone to Dr. Recknagel for the exact reasons that I have stated.

Couldn't be more disappointed! For my first visit to Dr. Recknagel's office I showed up 10 minutes early for my appointment. I knew I would have to fill out many forms since this was my first visit. After handing in my forms, before my appointment time started, I sat in the waiting room, unacknowledged for 45 minutes. Finally, I asked the receptionist when the doctor would be ready. She said she would find out, then let me know. A few minutes later, she told me they were cleaning a room for me. About 10 minutes later a dental assistant called me back to the exam room. There I started the waiting process again. After an hour of this I left. Obviously, Dr. Recknagel is an amateur and should be working for someone else (where he can be supervised) rather than owing his own business.
