I checked in online at 2:15 on December 26th. The online check in told me to come in at 4:28. So I did. Once I got there, I checked in and proceeded to wait. There was a mixup with my insurance and I told the front desk staff to go ahead and check me in since I didn't want to lose my spot in line and regardless of the insurance I could self pay if I needed to. Needless to say, I waited an extra TWO hours before I got called back. I witnessed several people who arrived after me check in, get called back, and leave before I ever got called back. Then the doctor was in my room for less than 5 minutes and I overhear him telling the front desk to stop checking in patients. I had an abscess that needed to be drained and he said "I'm not able to take a knife to that". I go to check out only to find out that the amount the front desk staff told me increased and that the reason I waited so long was because they "couldn't check me in until the insurance thing cleared up" even though I made it clear to NOT take me out of line. I went to my normal PCP the next day and was told the doctor should have drained it the night before...

This isn't the first time this has happened. My father went after his knee surgery because his incisions were leaking. They told him it was normal and sent him on his way. He ended up in the hospital the next day with a severe infection.

I will NEVER use the his place again. The front desk staff is horrible and you pay so much for a doctor who spends less than 5 minutes with you and rushes you out the door.

On 02/14/13, I went to the Access Medical on 301 South Mustang Road Yukon, OK 73099. The PA said I had the flu. When the flu swab came back negative, she said she was going to still treat it as the flu. I received a script for Tamiflu & told to use over the counter Mucinex DM plus advil and motrin. I used the over the counter but not the Tamiflu since I didn't have the flu. Plus she told me Tamiflu was not a miracle drug and would only shortened flu symptoms by 1 day. This was on a Thursday. By early 02/16/13 (Saturday), I could barely swallow liquids and certainly not solid food. Swallowing my saliva was painful. I was coughing almost constantly and spitting up rust colored plus running a fever of over 100 while using all the over the counter she suggested.

The whole point is that I had to go to the emergency room at Saint Anthony. Here I was immediately sent for chest x-rays because he wanted to rule out pneumonia. Luckily, I didn't have pneumonia. But I did have severe bronchitis. I filled scripts for an inhaler, liquid Lortab (because I could barely swallow), and prednisone.

So I ended up with a $467.25 bill at the emergency room after being misdiagnosed at Access. Don't know how much the Access bill is because I haven't received it yet. I have to pay all this out of pocket.

Ridiculous.

This clinic is the best I have ever been to. Their office is beautiful and clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the wait time is almost nonexistent. The lab was very efficient and had results out unbelievably quickly. I will recommend this clinic to my cooworkers, friends and family.
