Yankee Kitchen Restaurant

My wife and I went in for dinner last Friday evening and were told by our waitress they were having a fish fry special. She said she was new and was nice and friendly. We ordered coffee and noticed that the cream was warm (hot) and left on the table. She offered to bring us fresh from the fridge.



our table was located so that we could see into the kithcn area and we noticed there were several people smoking cigarettes in there while standing around.



The table areas didn't smell very clean and we asked the busboy and he said that "we use just water." The waitress came back to the table to take our order and we said we weren't going to stay. She asked why and offered to get the manager. She pointed her out and we noticed she was one of the people smoking right in the area where they cook the food! We thanked her and gave her a tip and told her it wasn't her fault. We felt sorry for her and mentioned again it wasn't about her. Poor thing...it was busy and she was running around like crazy and there wasn't another waitress on the floor and the other employees and manager who should've been helping we would think were all in the back smoking by the food. It was disgusting.



The appearance of the table booth cushions and general atmosphere is old and cheap and filthy. Windows are disgusting and the blinds were broken and dirty. The sun was coming in and hitting our face and we couldn't even close it.
