Margie's Alterations

I went there with my daughter to get her dress altered for a wedding, the woman on the phone(margie) told me it would be 17.00 to 20.00. i told her i would be in on saturday because my daughters away at college, so the following saturday we went she marked the dress were it needed hemmed and said it would be ready the following saturday, I wanted to pay for it bit she would not let me then i asked how much was it and the man said 32.00 i explained to him that i was told 20.00 and he said no one told me that price then he says then if you dont like the price i say take it elsewhere well it was already marked and the wedding was in 2 weeks so i said just do it..my daughter comes home to go get the dress and it was a inch to short,we explained to margie that it was kinda short but she said no its just right as she was pulling down on the dress,then i said okay who do i pay and she said you cant take the dress today i have to steam it. then it will be 3/4 inch longer. she said to pick it up monday. monday i go to pick it up and she forgot to do it so she says you can pick it up tuesday.i finally got it on tuesday. my daughter will have to get a lower pair of shoes now because it was still short. so if you go here please make sure you ask a price from both and have a differant pair of shoes handy
