Charlie Staples Barbq

Great food. Loved it since I was a kids and have to have it EVERY time I come home to visit!

I drive about 35 miles to Charlie's about every 2 months. I have always had great service and food. Remodeling gives great atmosphere. The combo ribs n chicken with hot sause is my favorite. Great coleslaw.

Called @ 4:15 pm, waited for 15 minutes, heard her waiting on people, joking and laughing. Called back didn't even say hello, and same thing again. What a joke-what service_NONE! Sorry Charlie, you need to get rid of this one.

I've been to many BBQ places all over the country and take my word for it...Charlie Staples BBQ is the very best!!! The minute you walk in your greeted by warm friendly people and when you walk into the place you think your back in New Orleans. It's outstanding!! The food is always wonderful and the BBQ is the most flavorful I've ever had. They serve an excellent selection of food, chicken, ribs, brisket, shrimp whatever you can imagine they have it. They have a baked potato like no other called "The Big Bertha" I've never seen anything like it. The toppings include chives, fresh cooked bacon, sour cream, cheese and you can also add beef or pork to top the potato. The potato is the largest potato I've ever seen and can feed several people. The salads are fresh and the dressings are excellent. The fries are great and if you decide to have the BBQ sauce on them...WOW!!! The deserts are equally as wonderful, bread pudding is my favorite and the sweet potato pie, carrot cake, red velvet cake and chocolate cake are fantastic.



Not only is the food excellent but to add to the whole experience, the service is the very best, their friendly, and want to please, and when you return, and you will, they remember you. It's like a home away from home. They take such pride in what they do and what they serve, you won't be disappointed...believe me. Enjoy your visit and let other people know the fun you had.
