This was followed by completion of her residency at Central Washington Family Medicine in Yakima, Washington. She is originally from Tacoma and now resides in Olympia with her spouse, two cats, a dog. She enjoys developing a partnership with her patients and has interests in preventative medicine, pediatrics, and geriatrics. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, hiking, or spending time outdoors.

She earned her board certification in Family Medicine in June 2021. She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and medical degree from Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association. She is a native to the Pacific Northwest, having been raised in Oregon. She has special interests in women’s health including obstetrics and preventive medicine as well as teaching, as she used to be a French teacher prior to pursuing a career in medicine. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling with her husband, skiing, hiking, running and spending time with her dogs and her horse.
Labor and Delivery
Dr Chelsea Unruh and Dr. Catherine Talbot are Family Medicine physicians. Both have dedicated training in Obstetrics and provide care to pregnant women of all ages who are considered low risk. Low risk pregnancies include otherwise healthy women with singleton pregnancies (no twins). Unfortunately, at this time, we are not offering services if you have had a previous c-section or are planning a VBAC (Vaginal Birth after Cesarean Section) and recommend you establish with an OB/GYN.

She received her training at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and University of Washington School of Medicine. She is a native of Idaho, but returned to her husband’s hometown of Olympia to complete her residency training. Dr. Bunn’s special interests include pediatrics, women’s health, and internal medicine. When not practicing medicine, she enjoys running, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her husband and three kids.

Yelm Family Medicine was established in 1979 by Dr. William Elledge under the name Nisqually Clinic. Its original location was in the Nisqually Plaza complex. The practice continued to grow with Yelm, and the business moved into the Cullens Road building in 1985 along with the addition of Dr. William Penn. Over the next 25 years, Yelm Family Medicine served the growing town of Yelm and surrounding communities with the addition of new medical providers and expanding services including laboratory and radiology availability. In 2009, Yelm Family Medicine providers partnered with Providence St. Peter Hospital and RDS Developers LLC to plan and build a new medical office building, Yelm Medical Plaza, that would allow for further expansion of the business and bring more medical services to Yelm. Yelm Family Medicine opened at Yelm Medical Plaza April 18, 2011. We share the building with Providence St. Peter Imaging Services, Lab Corp, Apple Physical Therapy, Clarus Eye Centre, and Providence Specialty clinics.

Sports Medicine
We commonly treat lacerations, fractures, concussions, sports injuries, acute respiratory illnesses, IV fluids for dehydration, etc. We have access to immediate xrays and labs. We are in close contact with surrounding hospitals, emergency rooms, local medics, and specialist offices, when we feel a patient needs transfer or consultation and cannot be safely managed at our clinic.
