As a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the low-income population living in Wayne and Medina Counties, the agency has developed a strong network of supportive services that promote self-sufficiency.Throughout the years, Community Action has made many strides in order to increase its ability to achieve results. Staff members, the Board of Directors and countless volunteers have devoted a tremendous amount of time and effort to improve the services offered to clients. These efforts have cultivated new innovative solutions to the problems facing low-income people in the areas of child and family development, economic assistance and housing preservation.Today, Community Action Wayne/Medina continues to challenge issues regarding poverty. The self-help programs, food pantry, housing initiatives and educational opportunities offered by the agency serve thousands of residents in the service area.
