Scissor Salon

I took my 12 year-old-daughter here for a haircut. She also wanted to put color in it as kids do these days. Her hair is dark brown and wanted red streaks in it. I was told there was only one person in the salon that did hair coloring so we made an appointment. This experience was traumatizing for my daughter. The lady was rough with her and spoke gruffly to her. She kept telling her her hair was going to be flaming red (which is not what she wanted.) To cut this review short, she butchered my daughter's hair. My daughter allowed her so do one strip of hair to see if she liked it. While processing that the lady continued to be short with her. She frightened my daughter so badly that she asked to leave and not have her hair turned "flaming red." She charged us $60 for the cut and mixing of the color, then was upset because I didn't leave a tip,

I wanted to get my daughter out of the salon as she was already scared so I didn't discuss the the butchered hair cut in front of my daughter. I went back a week or so later after time to calm down to talk to her about the way my daughter percevied her. I was asked if this were the first time she had ever had her hair done. Which of course she had, had haircuts previously but never had her hair processed. I still don't understand what that would have to do with a bad haircut or being gruff and dismissive to a 12-year-old.
