About The George Champion Company has been in the business of commercial and industrial auctions and appraisals for more than 40 years. Our company is experienced with equipment from a broad range of industries, including: metal, wood, and plastic manufacturing ; material handling and construction ; commercial printing ; printed circuit board ; food service and processing ; and blending, converting, and packaging. Along with industrial machinery, we also auction and appraise commercial furnishings and business equipment. Some of our commercial auctions have included lumberyards, complete motorcycle and automobile dealerships, plumbing supplies and laundry facilities. We are approved appraisers for the U.S. Small Business Administration, FDIC, Connecticut Development Authority, Naugatuck Valley Development Corp, CIT Group, GE Capital, and Chase Manhattan Bank. We are also approved appraisers for Webster Bank, Fleet Bank, People's Bank, BankBoston, Banknorth, First Union, HUBCO, NewMil Bank, Naugatuck Savings Bank, Sovereign Bank, and most other area lenders. Our clients have included 3M, Duracell, Homer D. Bronson Co, Osram Sylvania, Allied Controls Inc., MTU Aero Engine Components, and Guy F. Atkinson Construction Co., among other leading companies.
