My son has been attending Alicia's Bees since he was 3.5 months old. Ms. Alicia and her team (2 other ladies) are extremely attentive with my son who is now 2 years old. She's been in business for more than 20 years. She always advises me and my husband of his progress and things we need to do (i.e start potty training, change nipple size of bottle etc), which we appreciate as first time moms. My son has really blossomed here. I can tell the difference from his progress with other kids his age who are stay at home alone with a care taker. He's very social. He can say ALL his abcs since he was 22 months old and count in both english and spanish up to 20! I appreciate he's learning both english and spanish. Ms. Alicia is very attentive and cooks fresh healthy meals daily, which was extremely important to my husband and I. The kids are happy and well trained. The home care is clean and really looks like a classroom! We love it here and highly recommend.

my son went here, and while he seemed to enjoy it, I felt the prices were a bit steep, but hey, maybe I'm just cheap!

Best you could ask for your child

Our son Elijah was enrolled at Alicia's Bees from the time he was 4 months old until he was 2 and a half years old. As first time parents my husband and I were extremely particular about the daycare center and provided we would choose for our son before he was even born.. From our first visit at Alicia's we were immediately impressed and felt at ease that tour baby to be would be well taken care of. During my last trimester we visited several family home day care centers as well as chain daycare centers and still had not found a center for our son that would give us peace of mind when we returned to work. When we found Alicia's Bees we could finally breathe a sigh of relief. On our first visit we saw first hand how Alicia nurtured teh children in her care and how she fostered a safe and loving environment. Alicia consistently maintains an extremely clean, safe, and organized daycare center. She also provides the best nutrition; my son received fresh, healthy and well balanced meals and snacks on a daily basis. From day one she kept us informed on our son's progress as he from from infant to toddler to preschooler. Alicia has also had a strong and positive impact on his growth and development. Elijah has flourished so much under her care. From the very beginning she has instilled and reinforced good manners, taught the children ABC's, numbers, arts and crafts, animal recognition and sounds, shapes and colors both in English and Spanish. As first time parents Alicia always provided valuable helpful tips and advice to us as our son developed. Additionally the lines of communication are always open with Alicia. If we had specific goals or milestones we wanted or needed our son to reach she partnered with us to reinforce at daycare what we were teaching at home. For example our son was Potty Trained at 2 years old and can spell his name. My husband and I were always able to drop in and see our son at anytime and consistently we always found the center to be extremely clean and organized. We always found the children to be engaged in circle time, singing, dancing or story time and other age appropriate activities. Our family is moving to Loudon County and we are very sad to be leaving Alicia's Bees. I could not have found a better environment for my son and will always be grateful for care, love and attention Alicia's Bees provided.

3 Years of great care

My daughter Morgan was at Alicia's Bees Daycare center ever since she was 6 weeks old. Now she is 3 and a half years old. We cannot thank Alicia enough for her and her staff's excellent care for my daughter. During the past three years, Alicia not only took great care of my daughter, but also taught her many precious habits and skills. My daughter's first words are Spanish, even though neither my wife nor I speak any Spanish. My daughter comes home everyday with arts and crafts that she made at Alicia's guidance. She has become good at socializing with other kids, which I also attribute to Alicia, as we did not have play mates for her outside her day care. She loves eating a balanced meal that is freshly cooked everyday, because that has been what she is eating at day care everyday. She loves doing Yoga and gymnastic poses because what's what Alicia teaches them. Although my daughter left Alicia's Bees to attend preschool, she always misses Alicia and we take her to visit Alicia on a regular basis. All of these happened because of Alicia's unparalleled work ethic and dedication to children. I am impressed with the daily structured and beneficial activities she planned for the kids. Alicia is also always concerned with my daughter's health and nutrition. She carefully observes her activities, her mood changes, her food intake, etc. everyday and comes up with ideas to practice a consistent disciplinary structure not only at her day care, but also at home. She has earned complete trust from my wife and myself. Alicia never closed her day care because of her personal needs. She had surgery last year and was in the hospital for a couple days, but her day care remained open and my daughter was well taken care of as usual. Her staff are very well trained and are just as hard-working and easy going as Alicia. I can tell a million stories about Alicia's Bees, but in a nutshell, she deeply loves and cares about the children. I have trusted her and will continue to trust her with any children in my family. I recommend her without any reservation.

Highly recommended

My two children attended Alicia's day care for two years, they loved going there each day,and soemtimes did not want to come home when it was pick up time. Before attending Alicia's day care my children attended other home day cares and also well known day care chains in teh area. None of those places worked for us. During the interviews they all seemed perfect, but in the first week or so my husband and I were always so disappointed. We knew what we wanted; care, discipline, education, and a good nutrition for our children. When they attended the home day care they received good care and good nutrition but were sitting in front of teh TV al day long. When they attended the daycare chains i was disappointed even more, I felt that my children were just a number and that really they weren't getting anything that they needed.

I kept searching for a good place and luckily found Alicia's Bees Daycare. She is great and my family has found all that we were looking for in a a day care provider. Discipline is a must at Alicia's day care; both of my children were potty trained just after turning two years old, and my little boy who hated to pick up after himself is doing so much better.

I loved the art work that my children brought home each Friday, the pride while talking about something they made with their own little hands. My children have really great self esteem and are really outgoing and I feel that Alicia with all her teachings and care has really contributed to their development. At Alicia's day care my children eat a nutritious meal for breakfast, lunch and snack(s) are home made. I don't know anyone that cooks every single day, but Alicia does this for "her" children. I believe Alicia gives 200% and I know that someone can do that only when their heart is in what they do.

Alicia also has staff that helps her out, and we have been there when some of them decide to move on. Alicia is great at selecting who works with her and the kids. I could go on and on, but I don't want to make it too long. Just one more things. It's amazing how well children learn to speak Spanish here. I'm talking about American kids that don't have any one at home that speaks Spanish. My children are ready to move on to kindergarten now and I wish they could stay at Alicia's, because once again I'm worried about care, nutrition, education and discipline, all of which they received at Alicia's Bees.

Fun, safe, professional daycare!

Probably like any new parent, I was hesitant to leave my toddler at any daycare when I went back to work. Any fears I had were definitely put to rest by the second day my son was at Alicia's Bees. I was touched by how personal yet professional the care that my son received was. The staff on hand is actively involved with the children - singing and playing right along with them and it's a joy to see all the kids laughing and happy. I highly recommend Alicia's Bees to any parent that is worried about their child getting enough attention and interaction that would be harder to come by at larger daycares.

Great child care

I'd gone through 2 other daycares before I found Alicia's Bees and regret not finding this wonderful daycare sooner. My biggest concerns were that my daughter would receive the best care possible as well as be mentally stimulated - Alicia's Bees came through completely on both counts. The daycare is very professionally set up; there are many toys and activities for the children as well as a playground area outside. My little girl is always excited to tell me about what they did/learned that day and to me that's the best sign that I made the right choice with this daycare.
