With one of its stores located in Woodbridge, N.J., it operates more than 190 stores in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Delaware. ShopRite is a partner and supporter of Community Food Bank of New Jersey, which donates food, services and money. Founded in 1951, it operates various companies, including Village Supermarkets, Starn s Markets, Foodarama Supermarkets, Inserra Supermarkets, Glass Gardens, Perlmart Stores and ShopRite Supermarkets. ShopRite is also one of the major sponsors of New Jersey s and Connecticut s Special Olympics Games. All ShopRite owners are members of Wakefern Food Corporation, which buys, warehouses and transports products.
