Southside Elementary School, located in Wolf Point, Mont., is one of the premier public schools in the Roosevelt County providing a healthy and conducive environment for learning to students. The school has an enrollment of more than 270 students in grades prekindergarten through three. The school focuses on four main areas, including academic intervention, language learning, writing instruction and attendance. Curriculum includes reading, writing, language arts, mathematics, science, physical education, visual arts, chorus, music, social sciences and history. Its curriculum and textbooks are aligned with state standards and district guidelines. The school provides many recognition programs, such as principal s honor, spelling bee, geography bee, science fair and superintendent awards to enrich the classroom experience. The school offers various programs and activities, including music band, student council, parent-teacher association, media center, gymnasium, soccer, golf, tennis, cheerleader, volleyball and track. Southside Elementary School has a state-of-the-art computer laboratory, library, dance room, transportation services, kitchen, cafeteria, swimming pool and playgrounds.
