Florida Garden Motel

This is the worst motel room I've ever rented in my 47 years of existence on this planet! I naively paid for a full week in advance only to be eaten up by bedbugs the first night. When I asked a neighbor if he had the same problem, he ran to the manager and told him I was spreading rumors about bedbugs. The manager approached me in a very hostile tone and I showed him the red bites all over my legs. He tried to blame it on something else, but I showed him internet pics of what bedbug bites look like (exactly like my bites). Then, while he was still there, I pulled the sheet off to reveal a brown mattress that was so discolored from stains and human filth that it was evident it had been there for 20 or 30 years! This "manager" (actually the owner's son) actually called the police on me for complaint and had me TRESSPASSED WITHOUT A REFUND! I couldn't believe it! The Winter Haven Police told me I'd have to sue in court to reclaim my money! Stay away!

this place is ever nasty and They Don't know how to take care of the people I had to call a ambulance out on a lady that was Pasted out next to my gate and I told some people to go get her boyfriend and they owner told them they better not go get him and he said the boyfriend better not come out so plz stop and think before u get a place here and if u stay there for a week or more u have to buy ur on light bulbs and toilet paper again this is a ever I mean nasty place

This is the most disgusting motel that I have ever stayed at. During check in there is a sign that says no refunds after 5 mins of transaction. Upon finding the room and entering it smell musty. We unloaded the car and then took a good look around. The bathroom was a haven for mold. There were large spots of mold on the door jam, the walls, the shower, and the ceiling. The towels and wash clothes were stained and dirty looking. The bed linen was also dirty and the bed were unfit to sleep on. The mattress' were so worn out that there was a visible V in the middle of the bed. The beds were so low to the ground that when sitting on the bed my knees were at my chest. The wall paper was peeling off of the walls. There was a cheap flower arrangement that was caked with dust. It was late and due to no refunds, we decided to stay dressed and try to get some sleep. The air conditioner ran but quit cooling every 10 mins. Gold one min and boiling hot the next. In the morning, we tried to open the blinds to get some light. The vertical blinds fell off with the slightest pull of the cord. I went to the office. It is now 10 am and the office door is locked. I rang the bell, no answer. I stood for a couple of minutes then went back to the room. I found the maid and told her I needed to speak to the manager but the door was locked, She said " you have to ring the bell and wait because he is taking care of his son." My thoughts were he needed to be taking care of his Motel. I went back and rang the bell again and waited. When he came to the door, I asked if there was another room that we could get. He said he only had one other and wanted to know why. When I told him he said he needed to look at the room. When he saw the mold in the bathroom, he said "Oh I know why that is happening, it's because the hot water is dripping and causing the mold. Hmmm did you not inspect your rooms in the last year? When he saw the blinds he said, "what did you do? did you try opening the blinds. I told him we indeed tried opening the blinds for a little light. His reply was "Oh so you tried to open the blinds and you broke them. He did give us another room but it was not much of and improvement. In the 2nd room the sink was falling off the wall. It looked like if there was thing but on the counter that it would fall completely off. The room was still dirty and needed a good cleaning. The carpet in both rooms was filthy and sticky. I would not recommend this motel to anyone. They need to do a complete remodel of the motel and find a manager that is there to take care of the motel and not his children.
