Winston Factory Lofts

Very happy at the lofts and just renewed my lease. Perhaps pricey for the area, but very well kept and worth it. It's all relative, and having rented before and understanding that you get what you pay for, I am happy to pay more for nice digs.



I have had only positive experiences with the staff and management. They have always been very responsive and helpful.



The train is loud, but if you are from a big city, it's nothing you haven't heard before. The side of the building facing the train is a little brutal, but I got used to it quickly. The management made the train well known to me prior to moving in, so I knew what to expect.



I was on the third floor, but switched to the fifth when I renewed. Third floor loft is very cool but less than ideal for roommates (you can hear EVERYTHING). I LOVE my 2 bed that faces downtown.



I travel a lot, and I always feel comfortable leaving my apartment and car. I've never felt unsafe in the area either.



The other residents in the building are cool, so it was an easy transition for me to move solo.



All in all, I've had a positive experience and would suggest it to others.

My experience at the Winston Factory Lofts was a great one. The building's appeal is a 'big city' feel in a small downtown. The building is outstanding, great work has been done to renovate the historical building transforming it from an industrial warehouse to a hub for young professionals. The first thing you see walking in is a lobby unique to the building, a common area to watch TV, a pool table, a fireplace not to mention the coffee station which was my favorite on my way to work. This type of set up allows one to meet other neighbors creating a very strong community feel within the building. In essence, the building goes beyond being a place to live but more of a place of experience, my expectations when moving in were to meet fellow young professionals, enjoy the perks of living in the downtown area (where everything is within walking distance) and that is exactly the experience I had. The apartments are absolutely outstanding and very spacious, not to mention very well kept. The big windows allowed for a very enjoyable view at all times of the day, and the occasional train passing by adds significantly to the urban feel of the place. The staff is extremely friendly and create excellent opportunities for community by proposing events, outings and keeping the tenants aware of the happenings downtown. I'm not sure there is anything else like it in Winston Salem. Highly, recommend it!
