Yes, there are many types of arthritis. Some of these include osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, post-traumatic arthritis, septic arthritis, and psoriatic arthritis. But no matter what the cause, arthritis leads to inflammation with pain and stiffness.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
At Bone and Joint Specialists, all of our surgeons are trained in hand surgery and perform common procedures like carpal tunnel and trigger finger surgery. MRI
An MRI will often show the process of arthritis in greater detail. Common findings include damage to the cartilage, meniscus, and labrum. There may be cysts in the bone or soft tissue, bone edema, or osteophytes. Don’t worry though, despite the seemingly long list of things wrong, these issues all occur as part of the process of arthritis.
X-Rays
Computed Tomography
Yes, a full evaluation should include X-rays for arthritis. Advanced studies like an MRI or CT scan may be needed sometimes. But usually, X-ray is the best way to diagnose arthritis. So even if you already had an MRI, we may still need X-rays at our office. And we often require specialized views or angles, so we may need to get additional X-rays during your visit to offer the best care possible.

We know there is no good time for surgery. That’s why we reserve surgical treatment for those situations where it is the best way to get you back to your normal life. And why we offer modern techniques like hip arthroscopy and outpatient minimally-invasive hip replacement.
Wound Care
Bone & Joint Specialists of Winchester is proud to announce that beginning August 24, 2020, we will be offering Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections. Dr. Larson will be providing this service to our patients. We will be offering Affordable Autologous PRP Healing, Customized Autologous PRP Healing, and Amniotic Fluid Injections. Affordable PRP only uses your own blood to extract growth factors and inject it back into the area. It is best suited for knees and other joints. Customized PRP is focused on your exact treatment area and is used to treat all joint and soft tissue problem areas. Finally, we will be offering Amniotic Fluid Injections.
