Kamaria Bluntson is a national bored certified master’s level clinical counselor. She has facilitated therapy with individuals of all ages, families, couples and groups in community, school, and outpatient settings. She has experience working with those who are living with anxiety, depression, suicide ideations, self-harm behaviors, grief, and trauma. Believing that everyone has purpose and power but sometimes life happens, and we forget who we are. So much of therapy work is separating your experiences from your identity. Eclectic in therapeutic approach Kamaria implements techniques from person centered, narrative, solution focused, and cognitive behavior therapies. She works with them to identify their strengths and empowers them to develop new ones. As well as recognize how we sometimes get in our own way and how to remedy that. Clients have commented that therapy with Kamaria is tough work but appreciate that she is “relatable” and creates a warm and positive environment. Kamaria has received a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Wilmington University and a Master of Science in Clinical mental health counseling. She has years of experience working with adolescents in school and community settings facilitating psychoeducation/support groups on sex, teen dating violence, and drugs. She has also years of early education experience with children ages birth through eight years doing early interventions, intensive family plans and parenting classes. Kamaria has also worked with adult and geriatric persons with varying mental and emotional issues. Kamaria is trauma informed.
