Overall

We've been taking our cars to Purple Valley for a couple of years now, and have nothing but positive experiences to report. They're very capable- and they are absolutely honest. When it is feasible, they try to find a more economical way of safely correcting the problem. I went in once with an exhaust pipe that had rusted at a joint and dropped. Most other shops would have said the part had to be replaced with a new part- Purple Valley said they could weld the pipe (for a tiny fraction of the cost) and it should be good at least for a few months- that repair has held fine for years now. If I take the car in with a problem, they explain what needs to be done, they give me options (for example, original maufacturer part vs. aftermarket, and they explain the pros and cons) , and they get the work done when they say they will. The shop does not look fancy, but the service they provide is the best around.

Overall

Not a trustworthy repair shop. I took my vehicle there for a simple rear brake job and their prices seemed fair. When I got the car back it reeked of cigarette smoke (I do not smoke) and there was dirt and grease all over the steering wheel and a stain on the upholstery. It took weeks before the cigarette smell was gone. The brake job was done poorly and brakes started squeaking days after the repair. I took the car back to get the squeak fixed. While I was there, I saw one of the mechanics go on the test drive and light up a cigarette right before they got into someone else’s car. No respect. I was told my rear brakes were fine and that the squeak from coming from the front brakes and they needed to be replaced. I did not want to have this repair shop do anymore work on my car, so I left with my rear brakes still squeaking. As soon as I pulled out of the parking lot, there was a loud clunking noise coming from the rear every time I went over a bump. I looked under my car to find that both sway bar links were missing. These parts don’t just fall off cars. After calling the shop and asking what they intended to do about it, I was informed they intend to do nothing. If I had the chance to do it over again, I would take my business and vehicle elsewhere.
