Williamsport High School is a part of Washington County Public Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Founded in 1970, Williamsport High School serves more than 950 students in grades 9 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, math, science and social studies. The school supports a variety of extracurricular programs in art and health and physical education. In addition, Williamsport High School conducts foreign language programs in French and German and offers the English for Speakers of Other Languages program. The school operates several student organizations, such as a band, choir and cheerleading team. It supports several sports activities, including football, soccer, volleyball, softball, baseball, wrestling, cross country, tennis, basketball, golf, and track and field. Williamsport High School has a media center that offers access to a variety on online catalogs and research databases. The school also has a counseling center for students.
