Hong Kong Restaurant

I must admit I'm new to KS but after living in San Francisco & Santa Barbara I do know what is good Chinese food & what doesn't even qualify as authentic & that is this restaurant! Their lemon chicken is more like Hawaiian BBQ, their almond chicken was inedible- not one person in our family could stand it- no seasoning at all! They do not cook Mongolian Beef or Paper Wrapped chicken which are my favorites so I was highly disappointed. Their egg rolled were so disgusting we spit them out! The food is excellent!! When I first started dating my wife, she took me here, she said it was her favorite place, and I can see why. The CHICKEN WINGS ARE OFF THE CHART!!!!! We love the beef rice as well, NOT beef fried rice, just BEEF RICE. At first you might look at it oddly, but just trust me on this one.



Staff is super friendly as well!!

This is the best place for Chinese food anywhere. A date took me there in 1980 I was 16. their ad says they've been in business since 1997 but that was the year of the fire. My entire family loves to eat there too. they know me by name when i go in and that is a personal touch I enjoy.

Although the ambiance is similar to many restaurants, the similarity ends there. I have been going there for quite some time, and the food is consistant for every visit.



I have been to many Chinese restaurants in Wichita over the years, and the quality and taste of the menu is second to none. One thing that is a plus, is that they DO NOT have a buffet. I asked if they ever would, and they replied "no", as they couldn't maintain the quality and their food "is QUALITY". I also don't want to forget to mention that evening diners will be treated to homemade dinner rolls and warm fresh cinnamon rolls.



All I can do is to urge everyone that is looking for a restaurant that serves authentic Chinese food and with servings that will fill anyone, is to give them a try. They are open wednesday thru monday, closed on tuesday.
