C & O Marine

DO NOT TAKE YOUR BOAT HERE FOR SERVICE. Avoid C and O Marine. There are other places to take your boat. It would be worth it to drive much further and deal with another business. I was quoted an absurd amount for a repair. They knew I would not go for this repair, they just wanted to charge me $100 for a quote. This fee was not disclosed when I spoke on the phone or in person. Even if they tell you about the fee, the manager or owner was very unprofessional and rude. Seriously avoid this place.

I carried my outboard to them for a repair estimate (which was $98). After waiting 2 weeks to hear back from them, I finally decided I should call and check the situation. I was told that I needed a new power pack, coil, carb kit, fuel lines, water pump and impeller. Total cost $900, and they couldn't even guarantee it'd run. I carried it to another shop for a 2nd opinion and found out that there isn't even a power pack on an outboard that old (lied about a $300 part that doesn't exist) after a carb rebuild and new impeller at the other shop I only spent $200, got a guarantee, and my motor runs as good as ever. I will NEVER do business with C&O again, and would advise others not to.

Total liars and cheats. Drove 8 hours to pick up a boat described as "like new". What a joke, the motor was 3 years older than stated in the ad and it was a beat up mess. Wasted 16 hours of driving and thankful I did not buy it and have it shipped. Wasted $250 in gas and a lot of time. Avoid these crooks

Be leery of what you purchase from this company product ordered was not in "New" shape General manager was very rude and business owner only has one way and is never at fault.
