The first brace is used for 20 hours every day, for two weeks. After two weeks, a new impression is taken for a new brace. The number of braces used in a treatment varies between 18 and 30, depending on the teeth’s appearance and desired results.

During my education at the UIC College of Dentistry, I refined my dentistry skills. My dental experience as a student was comprised of providing comprehensive dental services through direct and indirect restorations, fixed and removable prosthodontics, non-surgical endodontic and periodontal therapy, and oral surgery. In addition, my training in digital dentistry, implant dentistry, and orthodontics made me significantly interested in pursuing continuing education to expand my skills as a clinician. I became familiar with prescribing oral appliances for sleep apnea patients, analyzing the upper airway through CBCT software, and providing limited orthodontic treatment.

An implant-supported denture requires fewer implants to be placed, which lowers the cost and time of this treatment. They can also help to reduce the need for bone grafting in the future by providing great stability for the implants. In most cases Dr. Gulati can place a set of temporary teeth immediately after the implant surgery while the area heals. Once healing is complete, the final denture will be placed.
