Sacramento West Dental Office

In the past, I've overlooked having to wait up to an hour and a half after my appointment time before being seen, because this office is close to home and staff was generally nice (although constantly changing). However, a current staff member is a moron. I was given a confirmation call on a Wednesday at 2:15pm for an appointment on Friday at 4:30pm. When I said I would need to cancel, I was told that I would incur a cancellation charge because it was less than 48 hours notice. I was confused, because my appointment card said 24 hour notice required. But, apparently, that is not the policy, despite it being printed on the reminder card. Staff had no interest in conceding that the actual policy is different from the reminder policy and, therefore, confusing. They were more than happy to simply close my account.

This Dental Clinic needs EXTREME Customer Service Makeover!



Name tags if you can not use your manners.



-Basic communication skills such as, "Hello my name is, I will be your Hygienist today" and not have a gossip group at the front desk while new patient is checking in.



-Please refrain from speaking a different language other than the patients langauge who is sitting in your chair awaiting for you to clean their teeth. Very uncomfortable.



-If you are the hygienist and the x-ray tech there should be no waiting time--just do it! Be prepared, everything should be set up prior to arrival and usually takes 20-30mins for that portion. Dentist then comes in to review x-rays and exam teeth-10mins. The appt time should be less than 45min or less than 1hr. NOT 1hr for just x-rays.



-If you are the hygienist and you have someone sitting in on the appt-- That needs to be explained during the appt and or communicated prior to appt. Again very uncomfortable.



-WASTED my time totally! Staff appeared to be non experienced in dealing with other cultures besides Latino.
