He was Chief Resident in his last year of training. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Stone was appointed as Assistant Professor in neurology at Kings County Hospital and Downstate Medical Center. He participated as an attending neurologist in several clinics and was appointed to Director of Neurological Services for Kings County Hospital emergency room.

Internal Medicine
Jose A Zuniga, MD, graduated medical school from the Peruvian University Cayetano Heredia. His Internal Medicine training was completed at Wayne State University, his Neurology training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and his Neurophysiology Fellowship training at the Montreal Neurological Institute. After completing his training, he was appointed to the staff of the Henry Ford Hospital Department of Neurology.

Multiple Sclerosis
Many of our neuroscience team are also actively involved in research. Within Premiere Research Institute, patients are provided an opportunity to enroll in cutting-edge clinical trials in Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Migraine Headache, and Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Dr. Tara Becker specializes in the diagnosis and management of adults with epilepsy and other neurological disorders. She is proficient in the interpretation of EEGs: including routine EEGs and ambulatory continuous video EEG monitoring.

Psychiatry
After completion of a general medical internship in New York, Dr. Butera began training in neurology at Downstate Medical Center/Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, and then at Albert Einstein/Montefiore Hospitals in the Bronx. Certification in Neurology granted in 1982 by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
