Started in 1997, Unitech Training Academy, a licensed proprietary school, provides education and job training skills in the medical field. Based in West Monroe, La., the school is equipped with seven classrooms, library, testing center, two laboratories and a cafeteria. As an authorized Microsoft Testing Center, it offers a variety of programs related to computer systems information. Its programs include Dental Assisting, Diagnostic Ultrasound Sonography, EKG/Phlebotomy Technician, Pharmacy Technician Preparedness, Administrative Medical Assistant, Physical Therapy Technician and Massage Therapy. Unitech Training Academy is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Regents and has received accreditation from the Council on Occupational Education.
