Maribel talked and walked me through everything and the experience turned out to be pleasant, even as my anxiety was high prior to the visit.

Impressive, everyone was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Had been avoiding the dentist for 8 years because I had a bad experience. Dr Koya and her team got me in within 24 hours and got me out of pain. Very grateful.

Terrible. Sent me to collections after talking with office manager about my insurance reprocessing a claim. Also, shoddy work. I needed to go to a different dentist to fix the work they did here. Stay away.

I agree with others. They do overchage people, constantly. Also, they often pretend they've sent you the bill (really not), then pretend you did not respond to it so they could ask for a late fee. If the star rate could be zero star I would give it a big fat "0"

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The people in the office are very incompetent. THEY TREATED ME LIKE I DID NOT EXIST. Two years ago I overpaid my account by $96. Every time I called about it they would give me the run around: "The person in charged is not in the office. She will call you when she gets back." Last August, over a year later, I stopped calling and started going into the office every now and then for a total of 4 times. Their run around now was: "We have processed your claim and some other company is now in charged of giving you your money back." I had had it, and finally on Monday, Nov 17th 2014 I went into the office, AGAIN, and expressed to the woman in charged my frustration with the way they were doing their business. I also told her I felt they had cross the line between being rude and illegal, and I was going to stop by every single day until I got my money back. Then, she escorted me out of the business and asked me, in her words "politely," to never come back again. When I got back home she called me, asked for my visa number and finally refunded my account. My next step was going to be standing by the 52 Sagamore Pkwy and stand with a sign. They don't have to worry about me being in their practice EVER AGAIN.

expensive and greedy

Overall care was disappointing. My husband said his fillings were very rough. They did not give me a guard for my jaw and I sore for 2 weeks after having my first cavity done. They were aware that I have tmj. I paid my account in full (even if it did to a year)and w my last payment they charged me a late fee. I spoke to their office and they refused to waI've the fee. Make sure you have a written agreement if you can't pay in full. Please go elsewhere and spare yourself the headache!!

Go elsewhere. They didn't get their dentists accepted into my dental network in a timely fashion and tried to make me pay the out of network fees for their negligence. After being harassed and treated rudely I reported them to the Indiana Attorney General and won. The dentistry was just a poor as the office management. One dentist managed to drill into my teeth TWICE before they were numb. Never even asked if my teeth were numb before she started.

Miserable experience. They do...

Miserable experience. They do not honor the recently advertised $59 new patient deal (charged me full price instead) and even though they are listed as in-network for my dental insurance, they stuck me with an out-of-network dentist during my visit. As a result, my insurance was billed the full amount for an out-of-network visit - meaning I had to pay for everything out of pocket. AVOID THIS DENTAL PRACTICE!

Steer clear

I'm having a horrible time with this clinic. I went in because a filling I got when I was younger cracked my tooth in half. They shaved it to a nub and crowned it, and I've been reeling in pain for weeks. They've adjusted my bite twice and tried to convince me it's normal pain, but I have a toothache and jaw ache that pain killers won't even help. My whole face hurts. They're also rushing me to get MORE work done while I'm up all night in painful tears from the initial work… No way. They're friendly at first but when I explain that I'm in pain, they treat me like I'm making it up. Never again.

WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER! I would recommend finding another dentist if you need dental work done. I was lied to and stolen from. They took my money and refused to do what they were supposed to. I needed dentures and was kept out of the decision making process. I was supposed to be able to make decisions on my dentures but was kept out of the process. I paid $1,000 and have had nothing done. When I went to the office to request my money back the office staff told me that I was not going to get anything back. and that i needed to leave. I refused to leave without MY money and had the police called. The worse part is that they ran my credit card even though they know they were not going to help me. It was only minutes after they ran my card that I was told they would not be able to give me dentures. I am taking legal action but recommend that any consumer looking for dental work seek another dental office because I would suspect any positive reviews about this office listed anywhere online were written by office staff in the time they had between stealing consumer's money.

WARNING! In July we received a flyer in the mail for cleaning, X-rays, and exam for new patients for only $59. My husband and I took advantage of this deal, but were extremely surprised to find that I had 3 cavities (having only had 1 previously) and my husband had 4, needing a root canal and a crown (these were the first cavities in his 34 years). What surprised us so much is that just over 1 year previously we had x-rays and neither of us had any cavities. They set up a payment plan (work totaling nearly $5000) and had wanted us to schedule the work to be done ASAP. Thankfully we were preparing to move out of the area 10 days later and were forced to wait. We went to a new dentist yesterday for a second opinion and found that I have 0 cavities, the dentist reviewed the x-rays we received from Sagamore Meadows, stating he saw nothing resembling cavities, raved that my teeth looked excellent and wouldn't need to worry about x-rays for another 5 years. My husband does have 1 cavity needing a filling, but certainly doesn't need a root canal or crown. Our new dentist charged my husband and I $0 for our second opinion consultation and states Sagamore Meadows lied about the cavities they claimed we had. This explains the "great deal" for new patients they were offering to get us in the door. CONSUMER BEWARE!

MILITARY INSURANCE MEMBERS BEWARE! YOU WILL BE CHARGED LATE FEES BC OF TRICARE DENTAL INSURANCE AFFILIATES NOTORIOUS INABILITY TO PAY ON TIME!

I first started going to this office and was very happy with my interactions with the dental hygienist and dentist. The front desk staff was snippy (boarder lining rude) at both of my appointments. My husband is active duty and the Sagamore office was having trouble receiving payment for one of his services. They billed us for the service and I called to follow up, confused because all of his services are covered. I was told that their office incorrectly billed insurance and they had since sent a corrected bill and should receive payment within two weeks. I was told to call back if I received another bill. I received another bill notifying me I was going to collections. I immediately called and left a message and no one called me back. I called again three days later and was told the bill had been paid by the insurance company but in the mean time I accrued a $10 late fee as a result of all their work having to bill the insurance company. I explained the notorious difficulty when dealing with military insurance. I explained that when I chose Sagamore Family Dentistry that I had assumed due to their acceptance of military insurance they were also aware of the hardships that come to doctors’ offices having to deal with military insurance. Many offices do not accept military insurance as a result of their difficulty. I was reminded by Sagamore Family Dentistry that I signed their policy statement agreeing to pay this late fee. They were completely against waiving the fee even though I had absolutely nothing to do with any of the interactions between the dentist office and the insurance company. I was even proactive in calling the office to see if there was anything I could do. I explained I was going to pay the fee and find a new dentist.

This office is very new and it seems like they are just learning the “ropes” so to speak with regard to the different insurance companies. The office manager told me in a frustrated tone that she is on the phone with the military insurance provider every other day. My husband has been active duty for ten years and having difficulty with our insurance is not something that is new to us. I have, however, never in that time been billed a fee because of the doctor’s frustration when dealing with my insurance company. I feel that when a doctor accepts my insurance they also accept all that comes with it. I was told by Sagamore Family Dentistry’s office manager that their office does not even have to bill the insurance company and that it is a courtesy done by their office. I explained that my expectations from my dentist’s office and their expectations of their patients did not line up and I would have to find another office. Having had gone to multiple dentists in ten years using my military insurance I knew this situation was unique. I hope my experience saves military families the hardship of receiving unexpected late charges as a result of our already frustrating insurance company. I would suggest taking your business to another approved dentist in the area that is more familiar and understanding of our unique situation.

On a side note, the filling my husband received that resulted in all of these billng issues fell out before it was even “paid for”. We have to find another dentist to have his tooth refilled.

Totally BEWARE!!! As the others reviewers mentioned, they have horrible business practices. Kept calling them to tell them that insurance had not received the claim. They said don't worry about the bill we are putting in a new system. Called mutliple times. Then in the end, they would not remove the $10 collection fee that they mentioned they would on one of my many calls. Office manager Deena is nasty and rude. She would rather have her $10 and have a horrible reputation than refund. You go Deena - enjoy the horrible reputation! If you like working with a practice that does not value then this is the right place. There are lots of other great practices out there that value you and treat you like family - NOT THIS PLACE. Doubt if this one will be in business very long.

I had a terrible experience with the office staff. I had a name, address, and insurance change because I graduated, married, and got a new job. A few months after a cleaning that was expected to be covered by insurance, the office sent a bill to my new name and old address. Called SMFD to make sure that they had all correct info and had they supposedly refiled the claim. Got another bill in the mail for the same amount. Called insurance. Insurance said they never received a claim. Insurance company had SMFD fax paperwork. Received another bill in the mail with late fees added. Called insurance and they said they sent a check. Called SMFD and they said they discovered they did receive a check, but I am still responsible for late fees. Refused to remove late fees even though they acknowledged I had been in communication with the insurance company and their office since I received the original bill. I have settled my account and asked that they cancel my future appointments and remove me from their patient/mailing lists. If you are looking for a dentist, I DO NOT recommend this business.

BEWARE!!!! They billed my insurance and I paid my account in full based on their insurance payment estimate. 6 months later, I am still fighting for a refund of the OVERPAYMENT. When requesting a supervisor's contact information and monthly statements from the office manager, I am being ignored. I already paid them a small fortune for dental work, without them unethically and illegally holding my overpayment and ignoring my repeated requests. My family will NEVER return to this establishment.
