Bull And Claw

This place has it all. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, the food is absolutely delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Even in tough economic times they have so many great deals. I love the salad bar and their homemade soups, and I definately recommend trying their signature cocktails. They even have a menu of non alcoholic drinks like I've never seen. Go for the Lavender Cooler, it's unlike anything you've ever had. The restaurant is very clean and they have an open kitchen so you can actually see what's really going on back there. And the bathrooms are very clean, that's always been important to me.

The Bull'N'Claw Restaurant is a world famous landmark (At least in Wells and i can say that because I am a native!)

I have been dining there for over 20 years and cannot think of a better restaurant in Wells, About a week ago My Wife and I decided to try something new on the menu instead of our regular choices of Steak or Lobster and went with the "Comfort Menu"

(It was sure a comfort to my wallet!) She had the Garlic Basil Porkchop and i the Broiled Seafood Haddock and it was absolutely delicious and it fed two for $20.00 !!!

The waitstaff is always friendly and the dining room has that down'east charm that Maine is famous for (The Wife raves about the 3 sided fireplace they fire up during the winter months and i am afraid that if i don't watch out she will have me installing one in our place!)

My only complaint is that I wish that they served the Fabulous breakfast Buffet everyday like they do in the summer but Sunday does roll around once a week and I guess it does slow down when the tourist seasons over. Highly Recommended ! A++++++!!!!!!
