Slocum Heating & Air Conditioning, LLC

In this economy I would rather patron local family owned businesses, so when my heater was acting up I decided to look up a local business online. After reading several 5-star reviews for Slocum, I decided to give them a try. I called early in the morning (8am) and was greeted in a professional and courteous manner. Ashley, the dispatcher took a message and said that I would receive a call from the technician with details of when they would be out to my place. After a couple hours of not hearing anything, I called Ashley back. She said she talked to the tech and said that they were on a service call and would call me when they were on their way to my house. With that said, that was the last communication I had with the company! I never received a call from the tech nor the dispatcher. I waited ALL day. My fault for not executing plan B. Anyway, I'm sure they are a great company; however, my experience wasn't so great. If you decide to use Slocum, my advice would be to have a backup plan in case you don't hear back in a TIMELY manner. At the very lease it would have been nice to receive a courtesy call to tell me they wouldn't be able to squeeze me in that day or arrange an appointment! Instead I got to sit at home and burned a day of annual leave. Overall, I rate them 2-stars ONLY because the dispatcher's customer service.
