Never easy when that day comes and your beloved pet has left you for the green pastures in heaven . The staff at I-20 Animal Hospital could not of been more compassionate. Not only during our time at the hospital but afterwards with sympathy cards and a nice poem on where our doggy is now.

Not impressed

On the weekend of Labor Day I went into this hospital for an emergency because my dog had vomiting and diarrhea. When I arrived there was only 1 front desk worker and the lobby was overwhelmed. The technicians were distressed and confused trying to figure out which animals were in which rooms. I was told that there wouldn't be a dr available for at least 2 hrs and that I could wait or go home and come back later. While I opted to wait I had the most entertaining but unprofessional view of how this place is run. The understaffed front desk was the only people besides the dr who was professional and kept composure. One of the technicians (a big girl) yelled from the exam rooms at the front desk girls to find thermometers and bring her scales while another tech confused an owner bringing out the wrong dog and another blonde seemed completely unaware of how to do her job or maybe was new. After waiting for about an hour I was seen... The entire appointment lasted about 10 min where I never met the dr only a young girl technician and was sent home with no meds or diagnosis. I was charged a hefty 100 for their time I assume. My advice is only to go here in a life it death situation and hope they aren't busy. Otherwise drive a little further down the road to Aledo vet or Bowie or even banfield.

I want to thank the staff of I20 for all there help and concern with Shilo My Cocker spaniel who started having seizures suddenly 6 months ago. After many late nite and weekend calls and visits the Doctors and Techs ran many tests and prescribed medication for him. Thay not only comforted me and my baby but called and found a local pharmacy who had it in stock for me. I strongly recommend them

I had to use this hospital a few weeks ago in the middle of the night. I woke up to my cat Sammy meowing and urinating blood. I rushed Sammy here and they were very helpful. After a day of staying with them and medications Sammy is back to herself! I have had to take her back for a few recheck appointments during the day and to pick up her prescription food. The knowledge and care that the staff has here is worth paying a few extra bucks. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HELPED ME WITH SAMMY!

I took my Yorkie in after being attacked by a coyote about 3 weeks ago around 10:00 P.M.. The vet told us it would be about 2 hours before he could get to our dog so I waited in the room with her. My dog was still bleeding after 3 hours so I called the office and the assistant answered. I asked how long would it be? She said she had idea and went back with the doctor. After 5 hours of waiting I called the office again and this time the assistant told me it was going to be at least 4 more hours. I was a little put out needles to say at 4:00 a.m. now. My husband suggested to go somewhere else and we were charged 123.00??? We asked for what? Our dog never even got serviced by the vet. When I called the owner he said it was for the emergency service. Waiting 6 hours didn't seem to be "emergency service" to us. I hope you will consider taking your pet to Bowie Animal Clinic where Dr. Buchanan treats their pets and customers with such compassion and doesn't charge you "an arm and a leg" for the services he provides.

My family and I feel that this clinic should be shut down and everyone should go to jail just like the owners of animals that dont treat their animals. There is a law that says that people cant be refused treatment for any reason in case of life threating situtation. There should be a law like that to for animals. The public should know your clinic refuse treatment for money. I think that the clinic should have tried to work with the owner and helped the animal. HOWEVER YOUR MONEY HUNGRY INSTEAD OF LOVING AND HELPING ANY ANIMAL.

Awesome

I personally haven't taken my animals to them yet, but I will! I called up there and talked to a girl named Shelby...instead of telling us to bring our kitten in and charging up a large bill, she gave us very helpful suggestions. She even gave us her email while they were closed on Sunday just incase we had any questions! That is awesome survice!!
