They keep a very well run tight ship. I love the enthusiasm that their staff seems to fufill in taking care of their patients as it is so highly comendable because it helps the patient heal that much faster. Everything I have seen in regards to patient care has been to benefit the patient. I see a lot of the expertise that the staff has in how hard they work to help the patient get better from first hand knowledge. I have been so encouraged and grateful to everyone I have met for getting me back on the road to recovery. I am eternally grateful thank you Kindred. With all my thanks and love!!! And a huge thank you to my wife as she has been a huge part of my recovery as well and I could not have done it without her!!

Nobody wants to be in the hospital, but they kept me as comfortable as they could. I had to have a special diet that made eating very hard but the food was very good once I was on a regular diet. The staff is very anxious to help you get better. They were always upbeat and cheerful, even when I wasnt!

Everyone is very nice and good. They get me up and walking and always make sure I am nice and happy. My daughters are both happy that I am better. I didn’t think I would feel this wayagain. Love Mrs. D

you are the best I know of. I have been in a few hospitals and you’re number one in my book by far. I had my own business of 150 people and I am hypercritical so I know there is always room for improvement... but, not matter what everyone is truly excellent at their job and truly cares for their patients. Communication with the patient is SO IMPORTANT. YOU are their voice! YOU are the hero’s of the country right now in the Corona crisis, no one else, especially the idiots in DC, comes close to your value. THANK YOU!

Everyone has been very nice. They almost always come in immediately when I need something which is great since I ring a lot. I always feel so bad but they are very nice about it

everyone here is very kind and treat me like a person. the guys are very much gentlemen, like Ruhul, and treat you so nicely. therapy is wonderful guys and get me up and around. since I got here I been feeling much better the only problem with me is the breathing but its getting better. I know once it is better I will be much more active. I live in New York which makes it hard for family to visit. luckily they don't have to worry since they know I am okay and get reports from the nurses station everyday.

They try to be very helpful. I’m still in a lot of pain but they do everything they can to help. They are constantly in to make sure we are okay. Its a hard job so I give them a lot of credit. Sometimes the food was cold but they always fixed it when asked.

When things seem bleak its important to surround yourself with people who lift you up an I am thankful for all the wonderful people that I met there because they did just that. Thank you Dr. Grella for always being honest and telling things like they are.

I would like to thank barbarra, kristi, ernesto, fernando, and so many others. The way they take care of me is wonderful. Everyday they made me clean and comfortable. My trach has come out and i am finally breathing and speaking again. I can’t help but smile whenever they come in the room because i know they love me and care for me. Absolutely amazing kindred

As soon as I got here everyone started working on me and made me feel comfortable. Therapy has me walking better so that they are able to walk me with only one person and no wheelchair behind me! After less than a week I was completely off the vent and I now don’t even need oxygen. I am able to care for myself for the first time in months. My family was worried due to the long distance and negative reviews but they are happy that I came here. Everyone is nice. Thanks Kindred!

What is not to love about Kindred? Dr. Grella and his team are angels of encouragement and life. Jara, Valerie, Beth, Kristi, Marisol, Diana, Noralynn, Remy, May, Fernando, Jennifer, Jon, Melissa, Andrew, Saj, Robin, Alexa, Ruhul, Darcia, Yvonne, Carol, Manny, Rose, Tina, May, Emily, Beth, Hamilton, and many others are what make Kindred a place of immense healing. Dr. Grella is not only a man of science, but a person of profound compassion and integrity who always has time to answer your questions thoroughly and listen to any of your concerns. The nurses and the nursing assistants are consummate professionals and most importantly, men and women of compassion. What good is it if your loved one’s nurse is competent in nursing skills, but devoid of compassion and kindness? It takes a special kind of person to have the ability to empathize with the agony of their fellow man, and that, I can assure you, is precisely what you will find at Kindred. If I had to make the decision all over again of where to send my dad following his stay at an acute care hospital, it would hands down be Kindred. My family and I were able to breathe a sigh of relief once we arrived. We were surrounded by extremely caring, patient and kind professionals who wanted my dad to get better just as much as we did. My dad is 81 years old and was involved in a MVA which subsequently had him on full ventilator support - until he came to kindred. Today he is off the ventilator completely and eagerly looking forward to the day when his trach is but a bad memory. If you’re looking for an LTAC anywhere in the continental United States where the staff will care for your loved as if they were one of their own, then you must request admission to Kindred. Compassion, healing, patience and kindness abound at Kindred Hospital Wayne.

I absolutely had to share my truth. It makes me happy to see people who truly get along with one another. EVERYBODY is just so friendly and polite. This is what you get at Kindred Wayne. I came from a facility that was completely disoriented, no one knew what was going on, and no one liked each other or got along with no continuity. When I needed to be taken to another level of care I was extremely nervous, especially being so far from home. Once I got here, I was completely relieved. I completely adore Rick from respiratory, Nurse Matt, Nurse Susan, and Remmy. I absolutely love you Marisol! You are a doll! There are so many others I would like to thank, but its truly everyone. I am defiantly in better shape than when I came, and I am thankful that they pushed me to use the C-pap when I didn’t want to as it helped me SO MUCH! Thank you Kindred, I am sad to go, but happy at the same time.

Earlier this year our mom experienced health issues that required the use of an LTAC facility. After another ICU stay in August, this time at St Joe’s in Wayne, her doctor recommended LTAC at Kindred before returning to the rehabilitation center she has been recovering in. Our prior experience with LTAC made us dread the thought but knew she needed a little more medical attention then her rehab center provides. We were pleasantly surprised right from the first day she was transferred here. The different departments work well together as a team with a common goal, to get the care and treatment our mom requires. They are all willing to answer questions and listen to our concerns. We could not be happier with the treatment she is getting. Thank you to all the doctors, nurses, aides, and therapists as well as the case managers and patient relations staff. The journey has been difficult for our mom but you all have made a difference.
