        Peace River Electric Cooperative, also known as PRECO, is a fast growing electric distribution cooperative that provides service in 10 Florida counties: Brevard, DeSoto, Hardee, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Manatee, Osceola, Polk and Sarasota. PRECO provides electric service to residential, business and light industrial markets, and has a broad service area from residences within 30 miles of the Atlantic Ocean to homes on the Gulf of Mexico. Preco's headquarters are in south-central Florida in the town of Wauchula, Fla., with district offices located at Bradenton in Manatee County and Indian Lake Estates in Polk County. The company has an array of beneficial energy service programs, such as a flash guard surge suppressor program, automated outage reporting system, as well as automatic bank and credit card draft authorizations.

        My Electric bill is 16 days late and they shut our Electric off. We have NEVER Missed paying every month for the past 12 Years and this is what happened. We own our home and we will on our next home were moving to an area that Is NOT Peace River Elec.. Poor Service plus lack of caring even a little bit. But we put up with outages at any given tI'm and there can be sunny skies and it go out. Worst service all the way around! Note: we paid the bill in full immediately and now they say we may Not have electric up until 5 pm. Unreal!

        I will NEVER as long as I live move into Peace River's district ever again. Even if the house was free. The WORST ever.

        This company is a monopoly they know it and treat customers poorly because they know they can. One day there will be a choice in this county and they will run out if business. FPL was an amazing experience and very customer friendly. It really is a shame the way this company is ran I mean every company has a ceo I can only imagine the customer service training is a joke. Wake up peace river karma is real. Your overcharging will be answered one day in court.

        Absolutely horrible electric company! Prices are extremely high (twice as much as what you would pay with FPL). In addition, 30 minutes to an hour to speak with customer service, who are not the nicest.

        Awful customer service and holds times exceed 30 minutes. They switched over to a new system, I tried to register and ended up late paying my bill by one day and they shut my power off then charged me to reconnect. When comparing to bills from FPL, Peace River is twice as much. There is no other option to go with so they know they have a monopoly--RIP OFF COMPANY!!

        Peace River is the worst Monopoly in Florida. They are incompetent and steal from their customers. The customer service is the worst. Stay far away from this pathetic evil company.
