        Throw back to the 70's

        Back thirty or so years ago, If you wanted the best audio equipment, and the knowledge that came with it you went to a specialty store. There were a quite a few in those days, Tech Hi-Fi, Leiser Sound, Tweeter and of course Roberts Audio. Well all the rest are gone leaving big box stores that may have the mass produced items, but don't have what an audiophile really wants.

        It had been some thirty years since I stepped foot in Roberts, but it felt like it had been just last week. I recieved a warm and friendly greeting from Stu, startetd talkinh like old friends would. Talked about what "I" liked and needed, not what was the weekly special, or the door buster blowout. We spoke about technology, I grew even more knowledgable on items I'd heard of but had yet grasped their impact. I walked out with a fine turntable, and a great record cleaning machine, but more importantly, I walked out feeling like I'd just done business with old friends.

        "Got analog?" ... Go to Roberts.

        Revisit what music is about, and meet old friends.
