Tundra Tanning & Taxidermy

Got my once in a lifetime brown bear out of the Sterling area, brought the hide to Tundra Tanning in Sterling where they explained the whole process to me so I would be comfortable in the care that would be given to my trophy. The hide was done by the guys in Big Lake and done perfectly. They did a phenomenol job and I couldn't be any happier. I have refered freinds with black bears and they have all bone done perfectly also. Will use them everytime. Also plan on using them for fish as the workmanship displayed by the Sterling guy is amazing.

This company bought out hunter fisher taxidermy in Anchorage, Alaska. I had contracted with hunter fisher to make a rug out of my brown bear. The store changed hands while my skin was being tanned. The new owner created my rug. The workmanship was very poor. The head was acceptable but the rug had wrinkles over most of the back. The front legs were posed to show the bald spot under the front leg. The seam at the front legs was very poor and visible from a distance. It has been over a year and I still do not have my skull. I would not recommend this company to anyone who wants a trophy they want to show to their friends.
