I would like to say that this was probably these worst experienced I have ever had going out to eat at a national franchise restaurant of any kind.
This was my very first time to a Buffalo Wild Wings and will be my last after this experience.
My wife and 2 year old daughter were going to the mall for shopping, we wanted to get something to eat and noticed the Buffalo wild wings was more than half empty, I had been wanting to try the restaurant so my wife said let’s give it a try.
I approached the greeter and asked her for a table for three with a high chair for our daughter, she told me it would be 30 minutes. I was shocked I counted 15 tables available, I never received an answer why it was 30 minutes and the greeter was very rude in her tune when I asked why the delay. Also while waiting it was unprofessional to see the staff lounging around the front greeters’ area it must have been 4-5 people standing around.
Finally after 35 minutes we were seated and we were seated outside in the patio area, we were never even asked if the patio area was acceptable. In fact I was taken back that while out there I noticed anyone with a Baby Stroller or child under 3 was seated outside. This made me angry that I felt I was treated differently because we had a child; I almost left at that point but decided to see if the food would change anything.
The only bright spot was our waiter whom was very nice. However it took 45 minutes to get our wings 20 minutes later we got our sandwiches. The wings were awful!!! They were under cooked, I was nervous to eat them as they looked undercooked and not crispy at all. I thought this was a wind establishment, I was again VERY disappointed. When our sandwiches arrived we ask for Malt Vinegar available at any other national chain but not available at Buffalo Wild Wings. The food was cold like it had been under a heat lamp.
My wife, child and I could wait to leave and I felt it very important to write a letter, the segregation for those with children was humiliating; the needs to have people wait 30-40 minutes while tables sat empty. Maybe they were short on staff, but in today’s world with Rhode Island having the highest unemployment in the country there should be ample opportunity to find good workers.
