Coast To Coast Transmissions

I am absolutely disgusted with the lack of communication and professionalism this company has. Our car was dropped off on Tuesday and was promised to be fixed on Wednesday. Wednesday afternoon we called to touch base and apparently the part they needed didn't come in yet. Why were we not notified? We were then told it would be ready on Thursday. We called in Thursday afternoon and were told they received the wrong part and we would have it back on Friday. Again, why were we not notified? On Friday we called in again and were once again told the car wasn't ready and we would have it by the end of the day. 30 minutes before the shop closed, they finally called to say it was done. We picked up the car and were charged $450. The quote they gave us was $200-$300. Why did they not call us to discuss the increased price before doing the job? When asked, the mechanic was extremely rude to us. We left the shop extremely disappointed with out experience and before we even got home, the check engine light came back on. The next day we took the car to Toyota. After diagnosing the issue, they told us that the internal solenoid needed to be replaced and this was something Coast to Coast should have realized while replacing the external solenoid (which might not have needed to be replaced to begin with). They had 3 full days to diagnose the problem and in the end didn't even fix the real problem. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from these crooks!
