Sushi & Thai Restaurant

Poor customer service. I've been a loyal customer for years. I've also referred people to Sushi Thai for several years. The only employee who stays consistent is owner or possibly just the manager at register. She has never indicated that she remembers me from one visit to the next. My last visit, she had stepped out for a few minutes and takes the key to register with her so customers must pay with a card when she steps out. Last night she decided to charge me for extra ginger. Even after charging me for it, the sushi chef barely put 4 extra paper thin slices. If you know anything about sushi places, they buy ginger in 5 gallon buckets. It's not a premium priced item for them. When I explained I wasn't paying additional for ginger, she held up the four customers behind me to go to sushi bar and have the sushi chef remove the extra slices of ginger. I voiced my concerns to her and explained I wouldn't be back and she said "that's ok." That's the service I guess I deserve for being a loyal customer. The sushi has always been good there except for one visit when the eel was fatty and chewy. I will miss the sushi at Sushi Thai, but not the lady at front desk or the poor customer service.

I have been all over the world and love my sushi. So when I relocated from San Francisco via Atlanta had had to find my sushi fix. Sushi Thai was a great find. Love the Albacore, Yellowfin, Snapper, etc. The Tuna Tartare great. They have all the little salads like squid and octopus! The rolls are great and relatively inexpensive compared to the bigger city sushi restaurants. Try a lobster roll they're great! The staff very very friendly! Ms GiGI is a blast. Feels like your in the company of friends and relatives! Then again whenever a chance to have a throwdown with food and those of asian descent it's always sure to be a party!!! If you love sushi this is the place!!!
