I contacted them about a dog I saw on petfinder. I got an email back quickly saying if I could make it by Monday ( it was Friday morning, and I would be coming from NY) , they could guarantee I would get to see her. They were understanding that I got held up in some traffic , so I was running late.
I was amazing at how amazing their facility is when I got there. I’ve never seen any rescue compare to this one. So many happy dogs and happy people. A very safe, good energy environment! I wish I could’ve adopted more then one.
The dog I got to meet was amazing, very friendly, intelligent and sweet! They did a great job matching dogs to their homes, with me, and I overheard other conversations!
This facility , the owner, and the volunteers are amazing. People have to remember it is 95% volunteer run, so to have a little patience!

I have adopted three dogs over the last several years from Saving Grace. I love the fact that they give so many older and special needs dogs a chance at a great life. I'm sure when my dogs were given the opportunity to go to this wonderful rescue it was obvious that the cost of their initial care would probability be more than the adoption fee. Molly could see that these great dogs were deserving of a life they hadn't known before. Thank you for giving so many dogs a beautiful place to recover from their past lives and a gateway to their new ones.

Saving Grace is, hands down, the best animal rescue organization I have ever come in contact with. They are incredibly experienced, helpful when trying to help you find your forever furbaby, and they love these animals beyond words. They reach far and wide across North Carolina and beyond and everyday they put the needs of their rescues first. I have gotten two doggies from them and when that time comes for me again, I'll be right back there. Any time someone mentions to me that they are looking for a furry family member, I always recommend them to SG. I think that says a lot given I live 3 hours away! They are fantastic and will always get a 5 Star rating from me! Molly and team, you're amazing! Thank you for all you do!

We've adopted 3 dogs from Saving Grace and they've all been excellent! The entire process, staff and facility was top notch. Since our adoption, we've had the chance to go back on many occassions to foster and volunteer. Looking forward to supporting for many years to come.

Saving Grace is heaven on earth! The grounds are absolutely stunning and watching all the dogs run around will put a smile on anyone's face. I began volunteering there and discovered more of the many wonderful things that this organization does and has to offer! The owner is one of the most selfless people I know. The dedication that she has for rescuing animals is amazing. Day in and day out she puts every effort into doing what she can to save those poor animals that have no hope in rural shelters. Not only does she give these dogs a chance at life, she works to build their trust and starts their training that they need to do well in a home.
The volunteers at Saving Grace are very knowledgeable about dogs and their behaviors. This organization take the time to teach the volunteers the information they need to best help those coming in looking to adopt. This is what makes SG as successful of a rescue that it is. We take pride in helping the dogs and finding families that will love those dogs as much as we do! SG is definitely worth your time if you are looking to adopt a dog or kitten!!

My husband and I adopted Shaggy from Saving Grace two weeks ago. I can honestly say that it is the most wonderful place ever. They have all types of dogs running around and playing. They had three legged dogs, a blind dog that was soooo sweet, puppies and a complete selection of dogs of all shapes and sizes that were looking for homes. This was not a sad place like I had feared. You can tell the dogs are well cared for and were happy now even if they had had a rough past. They even had pigs and chickens which just made us laugh. There were flowers everywhere and lots of volunteers running here and there. Colleen and Hanah were fabulous in helping us find Shaggy. Colleen look her time with us and she really listened to what we needed/wanted and suggested him to us. I am not kidding, he is perfect for our life. He is 1 year old, loves to walk on a leash, rides well, house trained and our current dog just loves him. He is snuggling on the couch with me as I type this. THANK YOU Saving Grace for bringing us this dog. He was from a rural shelter and without you all, we would never have had the chance to meet him!!! To others thinking of adopting with Saving Grace, be patient with the volunteers. It took a little time until we got our chance that day but it was worth the wait because they took the time with us too to make sure we really found the most perfect dog (totally unbiased comment :-) ever!!

I have adopted 2 dogs from SG and my son has adopted one. We have had a great experience and received happy healthy dogs. It is important to go in with the right expectations. These dogs are rescues and unless getting a puppy, there WILL be some behavioral issues to overcome as well as time to adjust. My first dog I've had for 2 years now and I can say I am just now seeing who she truly is. She finally feels safe and loved. That is what makes rescues special. Until you have actually gone and volunteered there, I do t think it is fair to complain about a lack of response or short direct responses. So much goes on that you can't even imagine. And yes it is tiring selfless work that they do. Molly does it out of her personal residence, so talk about 24/7. There are some days I've heard her say she never got any rest because of the dogs a d up at 5am to load them for spay/neuter appointments. I can say hands down they give 100% and everyone makes mistakes or things slip through the cracks. Overall this is a fabulous organization who truly loves their dogs well.

I adopted a sweet puppy from saving grace. I was told the pup was completely healthy. Well when I took him to the vet from the first time I was quickly informed the pup had major catoracrs and would be blind in a few short months. Also the vet was looking at the paperwork given to us my SG and couldn't figure out why nothing was adding up. It turned out the paperwork was for another dog all together. Our vet tried to contact SG to sort it out and get the correct medical history....two years later we still have the wrong paper work and we have a very sweet but totally blind dog. We love him but I feel like SG took my $300 (if I remember correctly) and gave us an unhealthy dog. I would use extreme caution when getting a dog from them. Also they are impossiable to get in contact with except when it comes to coming to see dogs for the first time.

This place is great! We haven't had a puppy for years but my 3 children convinced us. We first went to a couple other adoption centers we didn't really knew who we wanted at those places. Saving grace was the next place to go to and the staff was wonderful they said let me go get the puppies and while your waiting check cotton out (now beatrice) and she was so soft and calm right away we knew she was are soul dog so we adopted her and after her surgeries we went to go get her she is such a sweet girl. Saving grace is amazing and you will find your forever dog there , go check out saving grace you'll love it.

A dog I adopted from Saving Grace had untreated medical conditions that were not disclosed to me at the time of the adoption. The Saving Grace website states, "Once the dog is determined adoptable by Saving Grace standards, it receives any and all medical treatment necessary". The Saving Grace adoption contract states, "Dogs with known aggression or medical issues are not placed up for adoption". When I adopted the dog, a staff member told me that she was healthy and did not have any medical issues. When I took the dog to a veterinarian four days later, she was diagnosed with hookworms, yeast infection in both ears, a bacterial skin infection, and significant dental issues (requiring a cleaning and possibly extractions).

Please note the address listed by Yellow Pages is a private residence, not a public animal shelter. Adoptions through Saving Grace are by appointment only and with the foster families. An appointment is required, adoptions can not be done over the phone or through the internet.

I went to S.G. To adopt a dog, I saw online. It stated that the dog was heart worm pod. And had been treated. When I asked what stage, she said," oh, that was a mistake!" But, that heart worm positive post has never been removed from the dogs bio. When I showed interest in another dog, they wanted me to pick him up right after surgery and vetting. Even though their literature said bring all family members, they would not give me one extra day to bring someone with me . They are very rigid and will never answer any questions re: the dogs you are interested in. When I shared concerns and asked questions, I was told that the dog I was going to adopt would immediately be given to the next person!! Passive aggressive' I would never do business w/ these people again. All they want is to turn over the dogs, no questions asked and get their exorbitant fees. Don't dare ask, how old is the dog( never answered) vet records? Never answered, etc. something is just not right here. Beware!

I went to Saving Grace in May. This place pressured me & my husband to adopt on the spot. They didn't seem to care about us, they just wanted us to pick, pay and leave. We ended up adopting our sweet baby from Wake County SPCA and we had an great experience. They were kind, compassionate, and clearly loved animals!!! Saving Grace = No Way. Wake County SPCA is the way to go!!!!

Unfortunately, I had a dreadful experience dealing with this rescue organization. My experience began and ended when I contacted the organization regarding one of the pups available for adoption. Anyone contacting this group should be aware that bizarrely they do not take or receive any phone calls, only email. My primary contact was with Meghan. Once we scheduled a time to meet at the farm, I explained that since I was coming alone to an unfamiliar location (I am female), would she mind speaking with me on the phone for a moment so I could confirm exactly who I would be meeting with? Also, I explained that, before we met, I wanted to ask her a few questions about the puppy's temperament, etc. to see if my home would be a good fit for this particular dog. She replied "No", she was too busy to speak on the phone. It seems to me that anyone interested in adopting a dog should be encouraged to ask questions. After all, adopting a pet is a 10-15 year commitment. I am not sure if I caught Meghan on a particularly bad day or if she is generally so rude, but my experience was entirely awful. I would recommend anyone interested in adopting a dog to think twice before contacting this group. There are several other great rescue organizations in the Raleigh/Cary area that are interested in placing animals in loving homes, not just any home.

My Best Friend

I found the dog of my dreams at Saving Grace Animals for Adoption. I am so thankful to Mollie for all she does, as well as her trained staff who care for the animals. About three years ago, I found this site and started looking at the animals that were adoptable. I found my friend there! He is the perfect dog.. He is healthy, intelligent, obedient, loving and very faithful to me. I don't know what I would have done without him in my household when my husband passed away in November 2005. This dog was known as "Ace" when I was introduced to him. That name didn't fit at all. In fact, he didn't respond to that name at all. I named him "Danny Boy" and he immediately learned that his true identity. He is beautiful! I would recommend Saving Grace Animals for Adoption to anyone who is interested in becoming a serious dog owner.
